In this video I breakdown THE PERFECT QB THROWING MOTION. I hope you enjoy! WE ARE TRAVELING TO 15 MORE STATES FOR QB/WR CAMPS! ⬇️⬇️⬇️ www.firstdownt... HOW TO READ DEFENSES ⬇️⬇️ www.firstdownt...
Thanks!! You really nailed it here. I took bad advice of getting directly up to 90 and it screwed me up for months! Because of your video, I'm back to a smooth backstroke and everything fell right back into place.👍. Thank YOU!
@@skyeisthelimit309 but his dream was NFL QB. The problem with Tebow was, he wasn't smart enough to work on his throwing mechanics. Or read defenses. He said he would but would revert to full Tebow weight on the front foot zero hip rotation who knows where it's going throwing motion.
Coach! I recently went to a qb trainer and he told me that instead of kind of keeping your front arm tight to your body as you rotate, you should separate your arms life putting your front arm more out forward but not actually pointing with your arm. I always threw keeping my front arm tight through the whole rotation as that’s how I see most QBs do it. But my trainer showed me his way for more velocity. Which way should I stick with?
Whichever one keeps your more efficient. I think that can create power for sure, but is it consistent throwing? A lot of guys can throw hard but the ball is very sporadic. Traditionally the front arm tight to your body is always best for release point consistency.
Coach I want to start this basketball vertical program but I want to focus on speed and explosion the program is all plyometrics so do you think that the vertical program can help with my speed and even route running the program is also 7 weeks along.the program is called vertshock.the program workouts includes tuck jumps,180 squat jumps, some core workouts and also it has different box jumps variations,it has some other plyos too One last thing I told you on Your previous video that I struggled going against inside leverage off man dbs and you told me to watch the wr IQ quiz videos and those helped me a little bit but is there anything else I can do that can help me against inside leverage off man dbs that watch the wrs hips another thing is that people have told me that I get out of my breaks slow and I’m pretty slow my self as a whole.also love the vids too man❤
Hey man I definitely think that program can help you. If it’s just focused on explosiveness- don’t do something that’s basketball specific. Now for inside shade off man- if you search up “first down training how to beat off man coverage” we have a few videos there that will help too!
So this is a workout plan we have that can help a ton! Little more advanced than our RU-vid channel www.firstdowntraining.com/product-page/28-day-qb-on-field-workout-plan
My problem is staying calm, Im a first year qb and get nervous and try to get the ball out quick so instead of finishing my stride i just throw off my back foot.
In a lot of videos you’ve said not to bring your elbow down, but Brees used to do it and he was the most accurate of all time, not trying to be disrespectful but whats the difference?
I’ll post a video explaining this. But also Brees has a very bad shoulder injury. Which is why the chargers let go of him. Had a much higher release before then, so it was probably a way to compensate. But I don’t think his elbow was as low as you think. He just had a short back stroke
That was for 2024! Closest spot in 2025 will be Newark NJ, here is the info below www.firstdowntraining.com/service-page/newark-nj-qb-wr-camp?referral=service_list_widget
Closest spot this year would be Miami FL- here is the info! www.firstdowntraining.com/service-page/miami-florida-qb-wr-camp?referral=service_list_widget
Closest spot this year would be Buffalo NY! Here is the info below www.firstdowntraining.com/service-page/buffalo-new-york-qb-wr-camp?referral=service_list_widget
I would say try to get some type of heavier object like a dumbbell or weighted ball- don’t actually throw with it, but just work on taking your arm back to the L- doing repetitions of this will help build muscle memory
We went there last year! Will be back, closest spot this year would be Boise Idaho- here is the info below www.firstdowntraining.com/service-page/boise-idaho-qb-wr-camp?referral=service_list_widget
I’m a youth quaterback and I’m 12 years old and I love your videos I think that if I keep watching your videos and practicing consistently I’ll be Qb1 for my school
Yessir closest spot we will be coming this year is Buffalo NY- here is the info below www.firstdowntraining.com/service-page/buffalo-new-york-qb-wr-camp?referral=service_list_widget
Thanks for this! Every time I threw the football deep, it would mess up my elbow for the whole day, and it was pretty achy, but I realized I wasn’t using proper form. Thanks for the video, im aiming to be the 12u tackle qb or wr, thanks man!
Thanks so much for this, the other day in practice i was throwing the ball to some receivers and out of nowhere my passes fell 10 yards short over and over again. Because of this video i can now fix my footwork
I would say it’s about your base. You want about 65-70% of your weight onto your back leg pre throw. Then as you take a step to the target, we want it to be a short step- you transfer the weight to the front leg and that transfer is where you can use your legs and your hips
Hey coach, if you move to a new state in the middle of highschool and you've already gotten on to varsity, how hard is it to switch schools and have to restart and try to get on varsity in a different high school and get recruited?
I mean it’s pretty tough, usually guys will contact the coaching staff beforehand and see where they might stand in that offense and team. That’s what I recommend to do before you make the decision to transfer
Thanks coach I was a wr last year because my qb was in 6th grade I should of been qb but I been really bad at q.v., so I watch your videos and I got way better
Hey coach, I have been playing really good with my DAD and in practice, but In games I don’t play as well. Did you ever have a problem with this and can you help me with it ( I am only 9 years old). Thanks for the VID
No problem! I can post something for that- I think sometimes in a practice you may not be moving game speed. So what I recommend is to do part of the workout emphasizing mechanics and technique then one part of the workout training fast at a game speed. That’s something that I made a mistake on early on in my career
100%! Thank you for sharing man, a lot of guys have been ruined by that especially by old school trainers who don’t want to adapt with the times. Thank you for watching the video
I would say try to get to a horizontal 90 degree angle. Doesn’t have to be a perfect 90 degree but somewhere in there when the front foot makes contact with your stride. Then the hips bring you up to a vertical 90
I would try to follow the tips in this video! These are all the thing mechanically you need to focus on that are different from a baseball throw. That’s going to be the hardest part, separating the two types of throws
Bro this guy works so hard. He has helped thousands of people including me! don't comment and say nonsense just because you think it has "little meaning" he is the BEST on youtube and I'm not the only one who knows that.
