I Don't see a time where Sentry is better in offlane, as you rather keep your side of the map deeply warded if ahead, or ward prime-pit when necessary. Orb is generally good into matchups that allow you to scale. Wraith leggings, is not really ideal as a first or second item, but can be built as 3rd or 4th if you need to space the enemy heroes a bit better. Tainted Scepter does not work against Zarus, as his passive healing starts only after he's out of combat for 6-8 seconds, which is much longer than any anti-heal debuff. As for grux, probably decent to run into earlier, yes.

​@@Empti_ I have to disagree with you. It comes down to adapting to a different play style. I shinbi all the time but with the added mobility of typhoon, and well spaced double dash (don't just double click) you can be anywhere you want to be in a team fight. Typhoon hop to back line can surprise enemies and you still have double dash. Negates ADCs who have a dash and getting in their faces and continuing to do high damage takes them by surprise. Current build I have been having a lot of success with recently is: typhoon, combustion, magnify, prophecy, life binder, plasma blade. They all compliment each other. Not really had many games that have gone to 6 items but when they do I've started to build Unbroken Will because my damage is plenty and I just need something that keeps me alive if I get jumped. I've been really surprised by how well it works. You do a bit less damage overall, but sustain is good enough so it doesn't matter. Combustion is better first than Megacosm in early game I have to say I don't sit on my blink and I often use that just to reposition in long fights while dash and typhoon are on cool down. Blasphemy! I know :-D

​@@Empti_got to add that I always take good amount of healing items with prophecy because then you're healing off your autos which makes a massive difference

​@@Empti_ just had 2 more good games with this build and wanted to add more info if people do want to try it because AA style requires different approach. I level circle rhythm to at least lvl 3 before line tempo and to lvl 5 B4 all other abilities and an I level rushing beat to lvl 5 before line tempo as well but alternate a bit. Depends on match up. I also only build one blood tome and complete plasma blade as my 4th item. It might be cringe but I can also share games if people want to see how it works. I'm not the best, I get cocky but whirling death Shinbi is fun and more flexible in my opinion.

Wouldn't say it's a must on specific AP Champs like Iggy/Shinbi, but generally speaking it's usually a core item in 99% of Mage builds.

I'm not great but I usually opt into typhoon.... that's just me for what I feel is more dps in between e cds...

Maybe Fist of Razuul, Golems Gift or very rarely Frostguard into 3+ on-hit/auto-attack Heroes.

@@Empti_ Okay, cool. I thought Golem's would be good, but I wasn't totally sure. I like Shinbi, but she's not my strongest at the moment, so I'm trying to learn more. Thank you!

Ramapge Ult, Gideon Soulbearer + Ult and Grim healing through items is quite a bit, but mainly it's built because of a strong stat-line and very good passive damage.

@@Empti_ ah okay so it’s a mix of both, the stats and the anti heal. So as long as they have a bit of healing it is worth to go tainted scepter, got it.
