Toolcheck is painful on the wallet, but they really are the best little set I've found of high quality.

Have one. Love it. You get what you pay for but most probably don't need that level of quality.

I got the metric set and the ratcheting screw drive on sale back February and I bought a set of imperial sockets that come on a rail. Really impressed by all of them

Love my Wera Toll Check. Don´t care much for the screwdriver handle since it doesn´t give you enough torque... However, the ratchet will pick up the slack...Awesome despite it´s small size.

Matt, I live in the city where the Topo Chico mineral water is made, just don't drink too much of any mineral water....it will increase the risk of kidney stones, you do know what I'm talking about. Love all your videos, great content.

I've been eyeing this thing, it has a lot of stuff on it that I use regularly, in a small package. That ratchet wrench is a bit on the small side, I'd prefer one with a bit more heft. I'd like to have longer bits to reach recessed screws, and an extension shaft to use those sockets in hard to reach places. Love the form factor though.

I got an inch version a number of years ago. The case broke but I got a lot of use out of it. I moved the bits to an attic Systainer this past winter after I picked up my CXS 18. The sockets are still on the case though.

its smaller than I thought it would be but yeah handy, ordered one a few months back. Easy to toss in my work bag and have all the bits I might need.

Have the imperial set. I grab it all the time for those smaller fastener situations. I’ll probably snag the metric set soon. Wera and PB Swiss have pulled me in with their tractor beam!

The metric set has Robertson bits instead of Phillips bits because in many metric countries (Canada, etc.) Robertson screws are more popular than Phillips screws. @StumpyNubs just did a video on that (released 4/17/24) titled "How America RUINED the world's screws! (Robertson vs. Phillips)"
@karstenf.2558
@karstenf.2558 3 месяца назад
Sorry, but the metric sets don‘t have the Robertson bits in it, it is the imperial set what contains them.

@@karstenf.2558 Heh.. I guess I didn't pay enough attention to notice that! In that case, I guess the product managers need to rethink their approach.

I was going to add is what he is calling Phillips are the Pozidriv bits. Not sure what or why he is calling the Phillips bits Pro Phillips bits. They are nice to have though.

I want something like this that’s custom to my specific car. To do frequent maintenance, oil changes etc. I love the idea of a small footprint . Anyone have suggestions ?

Basically when U search new tools on YT to do "research" U get to find all the same tools ALL the other YTbers are talking about and recommending based off other YTbers who did their research in the small gene pool that is the YT tool community. None of these videos are based off the best solution discovered after many hours working in the shop or field. Often the Wesa toolcheck along with the Knipex will be stored in an overpriced Veto bag. Because that's what the others do. We have videos of the same NEW unused tools reviewed by creators that sourced the info from other YT videos that were made the same way. It's crazy.

I have an "overpriced" veto bag with both Wera and Knipex tools. I use them all the time and they are excellent tools. Maybe RU-vidrs agree because they are nice tools.

It would be nicer if it had a real screwdriver handle, that little thing is useless.

Nicely over priced to keep in the car to use once every three years or so. Plus, WTF is Imperial? The UK went to metric years ago. It's SAE.

This Tool-Check Plus is terrible! The plastic case is extremely fragile and mine broke within two weeks of purchase. That being said I have Wera metric and standard combination wrenches in nylon fabric cases. I also have Wera 1/4” and 3/8” ratchet sets that come in metal cases.

I love mine except for two things. The little quick change bit broke almost immediately (like every other one with a collar I've ever owned) and the case absolutely does not hold the ratchet. I'm always finding it floating around the bottom of my box.

Nobody should own this set. It's wildly overpriced. You can easily get an equal set for half the price. I ordered, then returned these last year.
