RTTY is an underused mode that is great for ragchew QSO’s, as well as doing several regional and international contests, or as I like to call them, operating opportunities.
Using the North American QSO Party, RTTY flavor, as a target of opportunity, I’ll show you how to setup the N3FJP contest log, how to setup FLDigi for the contest, and go through macro setups. The more I played with these two programs, the more I came to realize that they were made to work seamlessly with each other.
Even though I am using my IC-7300 for this video, and will be using it for the contest, this is neither an IC-7300 nor a contesting video. You can use these same processes for ragchew rtty on any rig.
