Negatives: nobody in my family ever had or knew of a picture of my grandfather and none of us except my dad had ever seen him. After my dad died my siblings and I found a bunch of negatives and there was one of a guy holding my 2 yr old dad standing next to my grandma. Thank God for negatives because now we know what our grandfather looked like.

Back in the days before instant camera phones, the only photos the developers lost of mine were of my once in a lifetime trip to Alaska. They offered a free roll of film. But to be fair I thought they should offer a replacement trip to Alaska. For some reason, they didn’t agree. 😢

I remember when Walgreens lost my high school graduation pictures. They DID give me a free roll of film as compensation. THAT made everything all right.

There was absolutely no such thing as a selfie in my day. It didn't occur to us to take our own pictures- it would be embarrassingly narcissistic. Photoshop was just a dream in a futuristic engineers head!

You have 2 subbers, I have 26, and I don't even have a yt channel, lol. ⚘ If you noticed, my comments are largely very positive, funny, encouraging and uplifting. I wish Grumpy all the best, but he is flat-out mean and in-your-face angry. I wish he would change his name to Sunshine, Great Old Guy, Happy Grandpa, etc. Most if all, I wish he would (at least SOMETIMES) encourage or uplift people, instead of always striking/lashing out. My heart is sad for Grumpy. I'm sure he's a great guy. Would love to sit down with a cup of coffee and hear his story... why he's so angry, does he have any emotional support, how to help him turn his attitude about life around. Perhaps that's why DB and many other yt channels post my comments as HIGHLIGHTED comments? It's not false flattery. They cannot do live shows for now, bc they take the public's, the employee's and the staff's health safety very seriously. Pictures aren’t free, nothing is free. You pay $1000 for a phone to take them. With $1000 back in the 80’s you could’ve taken unlimited amount as well. Lol

My phone cost under $200 before taxes. 1 roll of Kodak 400 ISO (@36 exposures) film currently costs roughly $16. The price of 1 phone costs 375 pictures on film. Digital wins. Let’s say you bought a $1000 phone. That’s 2250 pictures. Digital still wins.

How about taking super great shots of Halloween, and the best costumes you’ve ever seen, a smoldering million candle tub photo, and there was no film in the camera……that happened in 1998 and I am still angry. There was NO film in the camera??? AAAAAAAAAAHHHHH

Or in the 35 millimeter cameras didn’t quite get those sprockets lined up and you open the back, thinking it’ll be nicely encased in the Kodak capsule but instead it fell out, all over the place! I LOVED ONE HOUR PHOTO!!

I had a love/hate relationship with the disposable cameras. They were pretty good for what they were but I quickly learned to not wind it up and stick in in my shirt pocket. As soon as I hear "click" I knew that I wasted another image again.

I guess you can fast-forward to the end and press replay it should be ad free (I don't know if it works for videos other than movies.) I pay $12\mo for premium to avoid all ads but I also don't watch tv or any other movie\tv show apps\sites. Only RU-vid, strangely enough, I actually hate RU-vid. Lol

Wish we had an iPhone when my daughter was born. We had a really cheapo little camera we used to take pics of her in the hospital. I left it next to my bed when I went for some tests. When I got back, my roommate had been discharged and my camera was gone. I often wonder what would make someone do such a thing.
