Ben's Phantom is just. Ugh. His stature is just so staggering, how tall and how his build matches it. Simply the most attractive and seductive Phantom I've seen, next to Karimloo. Kelly, did a great job on portraying a naive Christine, too! I love them!
Ezel Francisco I saw the production on Monday night, it's probably the most amazing show I have ever seen. I prefer the singing of this cast over the original. Unfortunately the CD I bought was of the original cast. Wish they had soundtrack for this show. I'd definitely see it again.
@@pandoratonks4429 I just saw it live last Saturday. It was amazing. Also, if you still haven't, check out the 25th anniversary. I guarantee that you'll love it
I’m still sooo glad and proud for Ben Lewis with getting the chance to play the original Phantom, he was wonderful in Love Never Dies. Bravo monsieur. ☺️🌹 Wish I had the chance to see him in the role but I’m still happy for him all the same. 👏
The only complaint I've ever had with Phantom of the Opera productions is that they tend to pick singers for Christine which have too mature of a voice. In this production, that's not the case. But I prefer Sierra Boggess over Sarah Brightman because Sierra sounds more young, and more like someone still learning to sing. 👌👌
Gnimn Yes, but conceptually, Sierra fits it better because her voice isn't 'too perfect' for the role. In other words, her voice sounds as though it still can have room for improvement, hypothetically. Even though her voice is already great.
Gnimn The musical is based off of an old story. Christine was a young exceptional singer who is still learning to sing. If you're looking at how well the voice fits the story, a less mature singer is more suitable.
@@jswatch9270 YES!!! Or if not Disney, another animation studio that would make a beautiful and dark version of this. Kind of like The Hunchback of Notre Dame. Though personally, I kind of wish they made a version where the Phantom isn't so much of a murderer so that he can be deserving of Christine in the end
Saw Ben twice last year, will be returning to the UK to see him again in Phantom later this year. He is just sooooo good in the role. I would love a soundtrack of the show featuring Ben. 😊
I saw this production several weeks ago while visiting London. When I found out that Ben Lewis was playing that night, I'll be honest, I lost my shit! After the show, I was able to meet him, take pictures and get his autograph (which I will absolutely be framing). I've seen many productions of the Phantom, and this one was by far one of the most memorable. To me, its often hard to be sold on Erik and Christine together because I feel like they cast actors who do not complement each other correctly but Kelly and Ben were meant to play these roles together! Their voices worked so well together and their performances felt fresh and complementary. Astounding job!
0.43 The scene that Christine runs away and then suddenly meet Erik. OMG I was screaming and scrolling on my bed so my brother asked me "What's the matter with you?" 😂
Aye Silvera You live in a country far from England ? I's sorry for you.... Well, I live in France, and ya know with the Brexit thing, it has not been easy. But yeah it was amazing, I went to see him on my birthday ! :o Let me explain you : I love the PotO since I was a little girl, and I fell in love with this musical. I have never thought it was a possibility to see it in real life (not movies, or else). I can't even say I realised a dream 'cause I've actually never dreamt of this event. For me, it was just not possible. That's why I cried during the Ouverture scene (with the chandelier, and PotO music)... Oh my Gosh I still can't believe it. And the worst: I have almost no memory of it... I was so focused on small details that I did not really listen to the singers. I DID NOT LISTEN TO THE POINT OF NO RETURN, I HATE MYSELF. I wish The Phantom was Hugh, but yeah I like Ben, he's a great singer (of course).
We went to see Phantom of the opera,as a family, on my birthday in February having seen Les Miserables the previous night Both shows are brilliant I love this trailer,Ben is 😘😘, and he came out to speak to me first after the show xxx
whyyyyy wont they come to Australia?? I CRIED when Mum and Dad bought me tickets to see Phantom of the Opera for my 13th birthday!!!! This masterpiece has only been to Perth, WA...To Australia... a few times...This story, the music, the crew, all the different worldly cast members, the genius ALW, Gaston...The world of PHANTOM has captured my attention since I was first introduced to the 2004 movie in S&E in High (Don't ask WHAT they had to do with anything S&E) ...It was right after that I bought the original novel and all the other fan fiction books after it (Susan Kay, of COURSE!) , sang all the songs (from all the musicals, and from all the different movies) , made my own artwork of the story, and decided that ONE day I WILL see this amazing production in London, as well as visit the Opera House in Paris. Mum and Dad saw one of the original productions; I'm lucky they still have their book about the show. If not this year, I'm sure PHANTOM will return... #bigphan #phantomhascapturedmyheart :)
I saw this in London 3 days ago. I travelled 2000 km to see it and it was worthy. It was really amazing. Such music! Such voices! Such theatre effect! Such costumes! I am still overwhelmed :-)
Just saw it. Was probably the best show I've seen in my life. I'd love to watch it again. Perfect singing perfect dancing, sublime atmosphere. Really makes you immerse in this universe. The singers did such a great job! And the orchestra was absolutely amazing! The beauty and perfection of it really touched my heart. I think I felt the love they have for what they are doing, got so much out of it! Thank you ❤
@@williamfairchild7439 great and I wish we have this as a movie as well as swing Disney do their hand drawn animated movie adaptation of the musical of The PHANTOM of the OPERA
I can't stop watching this trailer. The director must be a phan. S/he's paid immaculate attention to detail and utterly encapsulated the connection between the Phantom and Christine.
/sees the trailer//clicks//watches/ *OMG ITS BEN LEWIS MY BABE OMGGGGGG AAAAAAAaaAaAAaAaaAaAaAAaAA THE GIRL WHO PLAYS CHRISTINE IS SO BEAUTIFUL AAAAAAAAA SAVE MY DAMN SOUL HUHUHUHUHU* /dies/
A masterpiece. I saw the musical three years ago when I visited London and I can't wait for the day I'll be blessed to watch it again. This trailer gave me chills.
Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom Of The Opera Is A Classic. Along With Joseph And The Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat And This Also Classic Too. Thanks Mate. X
I went to see this on a performing arts trip with my school in June- it was absolutely amazing. I knew it was this one because I recognised the guy playing the phantom and I remembered it was at her majesty's theatre. I'd definitely recommend.
Krystal Harwood I don't know about tours, but Phantom has been playing for the past 30 years straight in NY and literally wont be leaving any time soon😂😂
It’s been touring the US for a few years as a redesigned show that personally, I would not pay a dime to go see. You’re much better off seeing the Broadway show.
