i think it woulda been different if lochte didnt get a big head after those couple wins but he was bashing phelps n shit so my guess is that phelps instead of talking back just trained harder and faster man lochte woulda had a better chance if he didnt test phelps cuz one thing ive observed about phelps since a youngin is he doest take losses lightly n def wont take it from someone like lochte so he prolly got in the pool and gym and train 10x harder than usual. i would not wanna test phelp he is a swim god
