Beautiful watches, I plan to add one Phoibos to my collection and this looks like the right model. It definitely has all the features you could want in a dive watch, and the DLC is a nice upgrade. Can't go wrong with the Seiko movement! Easy to fix or replace if necessary. Great review as always.

I have the SS and baby blue color scheme of this watch. I absolutely love it! For the money you pay, you get a crazy good watch! I got mine for $230 and I was shocked at the quality of the watch.

I'm actually a big fan of the logo. It's so unique. Probably shouldn't wear this watch around Captain America though.

Love the reefmaster! It really doesn't get the attention it deserves. I've had mine for a pretty long time now and I wear it quite often. That DLC coating is amazing. I don't have a scratch on it.

I purchase the Eagle Ray a while back. Have to say it’s a great time keeper, really impressed. These look good!

Phoibos has some really great designs out there. I don't mind the logo, just wish it was a bit smaller.

Several months ago these were sold out everywhere but I managed to find a DLC version in the Czech republic. Another winner from Phoibos in my opinion.

DLC is also more expensive than PVD and harder wearing so that is a nice selling point.

Always liked their logo! If only it had better font for the Arabic numerals, also not a fan of sandwich dials. They do make great watches and have many different styles for different tastes.

I really like their stuff unfortunately so much of their stuff has been out of stock for months. I really want to get the PY007 or the Eagle Ray.

Have several Phoibus and Love them. Will continue to collect their watches. Every time they come up in my rotation I am reminded why they are great . Any Idea when the Island watch in 38, 39 or 40 mm is coming out. Can I preorder?

I got 2 Reef Masters when they first were released. Really nice watches. I really like the case design, reminds me of a Tudor Pelagius.

I have a Reefmaster, excellent watch for a great price. The DLC has no wear. I really enjoy the high beat.

They look nice. I can't find the weight on these. I took a look at the specs. As someone mentioned I wish the logo was maybe half the size, it just is an eyesore to me.

Ha! After all this time of following your channel, I just noticed your veins are big and bulky like mine. When I am showing watches to customers, I have come to realize an uncomfortable fact that nurses tend to smile when they look at my hands and it's not because of the watches. They are thinking how easy it would be to run an IV.

230$ is like kickstarter prices. Very good.

A bit on the large side for me but the material specs are nice. Movement is meh, not exactly the most accurate out there but it is an entry-level to cut the cost down. The date aperture at 3 o'clock makes it unbalanced for me. So, overall just ok for me. Thumbs up for the review!

Incredible specs for the money but I don't like the designs :( too... futuristic? I really think that if I were to buy it I would leave it in a drawer after a few months of use also I personally think that every diver should have the option for a bracelet. The logo is pretty cool, I wouldn't change it. With this said this definitely won't be their last model so I'm looking forward to the next one! Almost as much as the next islander haha.

Marc, Those are gorgeous gorgeous watches ... but the huge ugly Octopus is a deal breaker for me. Even a scorpion would be less unsettling. It is "crawley" and reminds me of the nose of a mole. Which is even more unsettling as I am into the last pages of John Irving's fine novel "A Widow for One Year". (It is set in the Hamptons ... not too far from where I suppose you live ... but the mole connection in the second-half of the novel is unsettling.

It's a big no from me because with the 3 missing out just looks very lop sided, should of had the date at 4 o'clock and the 3 number on the dial. Shame.

It's hard for me to justify paying for a 3hz movement anymore. Maybe Phoibos can use a Miyota 9xxx movement for better accuracy. Other than the hi beat watches from Seiko and Zenith, at 5hz, no other watch companies has produced an automatic watch at that speed. Tag Heuer is passé. So, who else can build a sub$1500, 5hz, watch that I can afford? Bulova don't count, theirs are quartz...

Phoibos is a prime example of why the new Seiko 5's make no damn sense.
