Love the AEC wheeled escape I drove those when I was a firefighter in Belfast in the 70's and 80'.

The best bit about this footage is that most of the appliances pass the camera at speed as if they were on a shout, it makes the noises legit👌, the past is a beautiful place, more and more each day

Its only a fire engine to me if it has two tone horns

And a couple of Shelvoke and Drewry appliances as well. Probably the worst fire appliance I have ever driven. Give me a Dennis any day.

The Shelvoke and Drewry pumps have got to be the ugliest appliances ever made should have stuck to bin lorries. The Dennis Sabre XL has got to be one of the best fast, comfortable with excellent handling. Scania's now rule Europe with Mercs, Volvos, Dafs and Mans following behind.
