Learn how to wiggle your index and middle fingers correctly to play fast scale phrases! Picado technique refers to the interchange of fingers (usually i & m fingers and usually rest strokes) used to play single note phrases. When you hear a Spanish guitar melody (especially a fast one) chances are you're hearing someone play the picado technique. Interestingly, this is the exact same motion upright bass players use as well as many electric bassists. In this tutorial I show you how to play this technique and just as importantly how to practice it with three drills.
