Alright before I get into any more trouble with the audience- I didn’t count the nintendo land pikmin game since it wasn’t directly advertised as a pikmin game like the other 5 mentioned in the video. It’s a collection of mini games so we chose to exclude it. Some parts like that clarification were left out of the final video since they weren’t the most interesting. Sorry to all the Nintendo land fans lol
@@Ehh_Dislike I had already included the bulbmin as a unique type of pikmin for a different question and since they lack the trait of being stored like other pikmin and cannot leave the caves, they were excluded. Another one of those explained off screen things
You could make a part 2 with pikmin 4 and have newer questions about the other games, Nintendo land pikmin might be capable of making some good questions as well.
The change for blue pikmin was in pikmin 1 and 2, they could act as lifeguards and throw pikmin out of the water This attribute was removed in pikmin 3
@@jturtleseven You can very technically call that optional, but it's worth noting that the boss was specified to be a secret. Whether you actually fight the cannon beetle or you don't, you're forced to encounter it. Same applies to the two Snagrets the other person mentioned. Goolix and Mamuta are optional to fight, but you're guaranteed to at least encounter one of them when you go back to the impact site to retrieve the other part there. Smoky Progg is the only Pikmin boss that is truly 100% optional to even encounter as it isn't near a part, it doesn't drop a part, there's specific conditions involved in even encountering it, and there's a good chance that you might not encounter it at all on your first playthrough, thus making it the only *secret* optional boss.
There is optional bosses in all of the locations listed for question 10:32, A) the distant spring has the Smoky Progg B) The forest Of Hope has the Armored cannon beetle with is optional because you do not have to fight it to get the ship part, instead the ship part is just off to the side of the arena, so you can just grab it with pikmin while Olimar distracts the boss, you don't have to fight it. C) The Impact Site has both Goolix and Mamuta which only appear on alternating days, after day 7. The correct answer is all of them.
@@Feixerer the whole point of my comment is to point out how arbitrary the distinction between "optional" and "not optional" is. You want to get technical I'm pretty sure the 5 optional ship parts all happen to be the ones you find in the bosses making all bosses optional. I'm not 100% on that though so don't hold me to that.
@@doommustard8818The only optional ship part that’s inside a boss is the Secret Safe. The Nova Blaster, UV Lamp, and Massage Machine are out in the open, and the Space Float is inside a Breadbug in The Forest Navel.
@Feixerer considering I managed to grab the part in question without engaging the guy at all (he needs to work on his aiming skills), I'd say beating the Beetle is definitely helpful, but it isn't mandatory whatsoever
@TheDemi-fiend True, though that isn’t a full on Pikmin game, it’s a Pikmin themed minigame in a larger game. Nintendoland doesn’t really count as a 7th Pikmin imo, as fun as that game is Also based username/pfp
I said 5 for the last question because I forgot about pikmin bloom but was wondering if you were counting the pikmin game thing from nintendoland it's called "pikmin adventure tame the wilderness" and is really fun if you have some friends to mess around with
There were also the eShop cards that doubled as AR Cards. We only got the Mario variety, but there are Japan exclusive Animal Crossing & Pikmin cards with each their own software
In Pikmin 2, I believe digging speed is actually linked to attack power, meaning while Whites are the only ones to see certain treasures they are not the fastest diggers
I thought the answer to the bomb rock question was none of them, because every type can pick up bombs but no Pikmin can “throw” bombs in Pikmin 3 like they did in 1, you just throw the Pikmin while they are carrying it
I love seeing this "How many pikmin can be on the field at once question" and seeing your answer as 100, but then I litterally checked the date because Pikmin 4 has now changed the answer to that question haha.
I’m calling your last question incorrect. There’s Pikmin Pikmin 2 Pikmin 3 Hey Pikmin Pikmin Bloom 3ds AR card thing (Japanese Ex) *An E reader card minigame (Japanese Ex)* *Nintendo Land* So there’s at least 6, but if you want to be evil 8 would work.
Doesn't the Goolix at the Impact Site count as an optional boss? Also, wouldn't being able to carry bomb rocks count as an attribute? Cause if so, that means that red pikmin had an attribute added in 3.
Pikmin 2’s 2-Player Battle mode alters Red Pikmin’s attack strength to the same as blues’. They're definitely still Red Pikmin: besides the color and the nose, they're still immune to fire.
the attribute one kinda tripped me up, because blue and red gained the ability to puck up bomb rocks but also yellow pikmin gained an electrical attribute
I looked up the bombs on the question she was struggling with, bombs are exclusive to yellow pikmin only in the first game, all pikmin can use bombs in pikmin 3
Optional boss in pikmin 1 You can skip the armoured cannon beetle in forest of hope, as just carry it past Goolix is optional So is smoky progg So all 3
All of the main 3 have had attributes changed. In Pikmin 2, reds had an above average digging speed, and yellows had an average digging speed. It was swapped in 3
Blue pik in have changed because in pikmin 1 they could save drowning pikmin but they can't anymore and the electric fences were only introduced in pikmin 2 so there for yellow pikmin have technically been buffed and nerfed(because I'm pikmin 1 they were the only type of pikmin that could carry bomb rocks but now all types can)
Which Pikmin has not had it's attributes changed is a trick question yes red is technically correct but none is also because red could not pick up bomb rocks in the first one but could in 3
The last answer is actually 7 because of pikmin adventures and the photo taking app on the ds that only released in japan (correct me if i am wrong) Great vid tho ❤
All right for me! ( only played 3 and 4) I saw a video of the smokey progg in water so I guessed the distant spring! And I know the final boss of all pikmin games. I also know the games all pikmin types were released in, and I know about the spin offs.( didn't get the bonus point.) There was this one time I looked at all the pikmin games releases too. And I know all pikmin types.
1. Red, yellow, blue, white, purple, rock, winged 2. 100 3. Yellow 4. Emperor 5. D all of the above 6. Red 7. 30 8. 25 9. Bulbmin 10. White 11. Charlie 12. 1:3 2:5 3:5 4:8 13. 2001 14. Distant spring 15. 5 Now gimme my A+ Professor or I'll have to bribe you...
for the question on how many pikmin games there were why is it not 6? pikmin 1 pikmin 2 pikmin 3 pikmin adventure (Nintendo land game) hey!pikmin and pikmin bloom (mobile app) is pikmin adventure not being counted because it isn't its own standalone game?
Fun fact: ice pikmin have the worst stats overall, every stat is under average (except for following speed) Base attack: REALLY BAD object damage: bad Carry speed: bad Digging speed: bad Definitely done to balance the op abilities it gets
Also fun fact as of the 21st of july 2023 there will be a whopping 12 pikmin games (including remakes) there is Pikmin 1 Pikmin 2 The wii remakes of pikmin 1 and 2 Pikmin 3 Hey pikmin Nintendo land pikmin adventure Pikmin 3 deluxe Pikmin 1 switch Pikmin 2 switch Pikmin bloom And last pikmin 4.
