Here is our performance of the re-vitalised 'Wretched Soul', taken from 'Nothing But The Truth' which is out on October 22nd (November 12th in North America).

Bruce Soord - “Late last year, Gavin was listening to our back catalogue, looking for songs to bring into our new live set. When he heard 'Wretched Soul' he told me how much he liked it and if I minded him reworking it, bringing in his rhythmic and arrangement ideas. In fact there is a short 'behind the tracks' documentary included in 'Nothing But The Truth' where Gavin explains what he did, and why. I loved what he brought to the song, it's given it a whole new lease of life. It's also a LOT of fun to play live.”
And we'll be playing this song live on our upcoming European tour!

I believe in Aliens and Gavin is definitely one ... I mean, they all are, this is impeccable execution, attitude, tone, performance .. music the way it should be .. can't think of a better live band than they are ...

Bass is killer on this one. Gavin gets all the plaudits but the rhythm section has two members and Jon compliments Gavin perfectly. He also manages to sing at the same time as dealing with all those crazy rhythms. Great job by the whole band.

They performed this as part of their performance in San Francisco two weeks ago. It was a VERY small venue... yet it was only about 1/2 full at best.

First time watching this drummer. FANTASTIC! But better than Danny Carey of Tool? Neil Peart of Rush? John Bonham of Zeppelin? Steve Gad? Jeff Pecaro? Michael Lee? Simon Phillips? Yeah, I’d say this drummer is in the top ten or twenty I’ve seen and heard……..out of hundreds. That still makes him extraordinary and among the best of the best. Do they always have to be THE BEST?

I’m a newbie to TPT I followed the Gavin Harrison trail to them and really enjoy this band. I hope they perform in Australia soon. We really need a lift …. Been in lockdown since mid June and not ending until mid October

Always a privilege to hear Gavin play. You can always hear the clarity of the drums, but they never get in the way of the other sounds. Such great control and such large headspace!

I had a ticket to see the band at the recent A38 Budapest gig but sadly events transpired to stop me going. Damn it as I suspect it was an amazing event!! I was especially keen to see Mr Harrison in the flesh so to speak. The intro to this is very much reminds me of the Purdie/Bhonam/Porcaro groove. I would be amazed if he was not influenced by that evolution of beats for the shuffle he is playing

Thanks for sharing, quite new to TPT, but have been mesmerized by the musicianship of all of the members of the band. Already bought my tickets for their show next year in Portland OR. This will be the second time I've seen the band. They were superb the first time and I'm sure next years performance will be awesome as well.

I’ll be seeing in Stuttgart Germany next month. I went to school in Beaverton back in the 80’s and made a few pilgrimages to Portland from the Tacoma area 2010-2012. I moved to Europe for good but I Still love Portland. Great people, great Food, great pubs and great skate parks! Enjoy the show in 2022!

This is a great band, but the rough vocals on this one were a bit grating for me (the chorus with the harmony was excellent). Which is really kind of OK because blocking that out mentally made it easier to concentrate on Gavin's awesomeness!
