This rendition brings me to tears every single time I listen it! This is how we should be rejoicing and celebrating the birth of Christ! Just such a wonderful and moving experience!
Kevin arranged this song in honor of his Nigerian heritage. It also won a Grammy so he should be happy and very proud. He is a musical genius in my opinion
THIS is how this song was meant to be sung - with unbridled joy! I get the chills each time when I see the feet of the choir coming in because I know the pure glorious sound that's coming up. And when the choir smiles, my heart soars.
Easily the best feel good song you will ever hear! I defy anyone who thinks they can sit still while watching this one, you can't help but dance in your chair. Best Christmas song by far, my absolute favourite. What they brought to this song is unbelievable.
Yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so glad you're hearing this. It's, indeed, one of the best!!! Talk about pure joy!!! Yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Love the “chair dancing” ❤ no one wanted to ruin the surprise about how good their rendition of this song is. Glad to see you liked it. This is the only rendition of this song I want to hear now. Greetings from Tennessee 😊🇺🇸
African beat and choir=happiest Christmas song ever. When you watch it again, notice Scott's little smile at Avi just before the full choir reveal. Kevin is relentless, and the kids are so attractive and young. Also, whatever their parents paid for their dental care was well worth it.
Random ptx fact. When they won Sing off and then got dropped by their label, the first person who helped finance them was a celebrity dentist. Nick Lachey was the host of the show and his dentist went one show and fell in love with ptx. He helped them find apartments, contacts etc and helped finance some stuff. If you watch their first produced video, Starships, there is blatant dental advertisement in that one and there exists videos of them performance for dental employees. So... that explains the teeth, haha
@@HyggeDk while that is true, the story that Rebecca tells is also. Scott, Kirstie and I believe Kevin not too long ago did a podcast with the dentist who helped them out. Also if you look at old videos of Scott he’s had his teeth done since then. When first off the sing off he never had teeth that went perfectly straight across. Now his teeth are perfectly lined up and all the same size across. Plus there is definitely product placement for teeth whitening in Starships. Then they all suddenly had very white teeth.
If you're anything like me, it's going to take you days to wipe that smile off your face. I just love this song and I loved your reaction to it! Cheers!
This is my ALL TIME favorite Christmas song of theirs!!!! And I saw their Christmas concert live last year from 3 rows back. This is still my favorite!! The energy, the homage paid to Kevin’s roots! Taking the kind of boring traditional and creating something exciting and fresh! Bravo once again PTX!!!
Hello Matts...Pure Pentatonix Perfection. Makes you want to get up dance every single time. The vocals, the ear candy, the dancing, the choir, the beat, the happy smiling beautiful faces of PTX - fantastic. This arrangement, singing and video deserve a medal. Best part is when Mitch looks like he will dance right out of the screen into our living rooms with that big happy smile. PTXmas in full force !!!! Loved your reaction - so glad that you enjoyed it.
This version takes you to church! I was so so excited to see that you were reacting to this one. I KNEW you'd gush all over. How can you NOT get moving and believing when you hear music done so joyously! It moves me every single time. They are masters of music in every way. I need to join a church that worships like this. Thank you for making me cry happy tears from watching you so fully enjoy this. 🥰❣❣❣❣🥰
This is a song of celebration sung how it was supposed to be. I'm not Christian but this arrangement is just so happy and makes the usual version sound like a dirge.
I always get up and dance when I hear them sing this song. Is it okay to dance to a religious song? [smiling with my hands in the air]? What a Performance. I will see them live on 12/22/2022.
I understand why Kevin looks so happy with this one. How can you not be happy listening to this song sung in the africans style....so infectious with the good feelings. WOW!!!
I won't say you're wrong about this song, it's fabulous. I really wish you would react to Home Free doing O Holy Night, and Do You Hear What I Hear. I never even liked Do You Hear What I Hear, but Adam Rupp arranged this version, and it's incredible. And when I played O Holy Night for my 6 yr old grandson, he said, "I don't know why, but I feel like I want to cry." That's how beautiful it is.
No one can upgrade Christmas like Pentatonix! I love watching first reactions to this. They always start by saying they have gotten countless requests for the songs and don't quite know why or what a treat they are in for and usually can't get the words out for a coherent review. Amazing isn't it. This is a true celebration of the holiday day. Surprise😂🤣😂
We told you so!!! The first time I heard this, it had me dancing around my house like a lunatic...but I was wearing headphones, so my husband started doubting my sanity. I played it for him, so he understood the dancing, but he still doubted my sanity because he didn't like it. That's when I started doubting *his* sanity.
A very good friend of mine told me it wasn't for her, she is more into the 'traditional' carols. I felt bad for her, because her mind wasn't open, I couldn't understand why she didn't even feel it!.. so sad....
My husband doesn't like PTX in general. This year will be my 3rd VIP PTX concert - all of them by myself because he refuses to go with me. BUT...he's not completely hopeless...he saw Avi Kaplan with me twice this summer!
“I need to read different dictionaries of, like, new words” is prob my favorite reaction to that moment when PTX leaves ppl tripping over their tongue until they realize their emotions exceed the limits of language. Love it!
if anyone listens to this song and doesn't chair dance or real dance you may need a therapist lol!! it gets me emotional, so, i'm chair dancing and crying at the same time LOL
Oh man, I couldn’t click on this fast enough as soon as I saw you’d reacted to O Come All Ye Faithful!! Your reaction was everything I was hoping it would be. 😁
I do not believe in things for which there is no good evidence, so I am not at all religious, but I LOVE me some Christmas music, especially by Pentatonix and a little extra with the choir.
Little Drummer Boy is my favorite Christmas song and the PTX version is amazing! THEN, I heard this. I love this version of O Come All Ye Faithful so much! Your reaction was great.
When my daughter was in primary school her class did this version for the assembly at Christmas time never thought I would hear PTX blasted through my daughters school in one of the most isolated city in Australia and what a performance they put on that day
This I think for People that believe in God made the born of Jesus more like a party not so solemn like the originals. This bring joy to the world, I l know the voice are not the slap, is the beautiful acquire, and a the Joy of everybody singing The Ptx, the Acquire and the African rhythm of Kevin a Avi Joy!
Loved your reaction. None of their Christmas music is what you expect, but especially this one. I haven’t seen a reactor yet who didn’t “chair dance” with a huge smile on their face.
Love it as you do. I don’t think I can ever think of this song other than their rendition. Every reaction I've viewed has put as smile on everyone's face. Just amazing!
Hi Matt’s! Thanks for the reaction! You are just TOO adorable! I know you love Pentatonix and they are amazing! There is another a paella group that are also great! They are called Home Free and they have a new song out called Don’t laugh at me With a country singer called Mark! I sorry I’ve forgotten his surname! Please think about reacting to this sometime in the future! I KNOW you would like it! It’s about bullying! It made me tear up because I was bullied as a child and a teenager! Their other music is also amazing! Thankyou for your fantastic channel! Peace and Blessings fromAustralia.
