That’s why I have a few channels, because on this my reaction page , viewers come to see a particular artist that I react to, not necessarily to see me but how I feel about their artist, hence there is Alipbata - the Alipers DIMASH - the dears 4th impact - the dreamers etc … each group came over when I uploaded the artist they follow …

I think I get what you're saying...I wasn't referring to reaction pages though

@@TonyBlackNYC I know , was just merely pointing out the similarities , if i uploaded my own personal stuff to my reaction page i wouldn't get half the views

@@TonyBlackNYC so when singers who does a lot of cover songs most times viewers come to see the different version of their fav song and artist , not the artist singing it

Really great points you made Tony, especially on how new artists tend to become derivatives of their favourite bands instead of finding their own voice. The hits they used to cover have already been battle-tested and proven to work unlike their own songs which haven't gone through all the rigorous hurdles it takes to make a good song.

Tony, my feelings about cover versions of established songs is that artists ought not to be performing them UNLESS the cover version unlocks something new and different from the original (think Chaka Khan's cover version of Michael Jackson's "Got to be There"). This is as opposed to performing a cover because it's considered obligatory, or used to get attention, or performed as an introduction to original work, etc.

First of all put on your AC it’s hot and humid today 🤣 …I’m into your channel for the long haul so I’m just loyal and will tune in to whatever you chose to upload…funny enough you get to know your audience based on the type of topics you discuss…for instance reaction channels get a large audience usually dependent upon who they chose to react to and most reaction channels if they react well will get the trickle of followers just for doing a good job but mostly they will get the fans of who they reacted to…some people zone in on certain things and will watch that hardcore and if it’s not a topic they zone in on they will ghost you and go elsewhere to watch what they favor…me being a music lover I’d definitely watch a channel who does cover songs to see if they did it justice or an injustice…and if said channels whose known for covers decided to do some originals I’d still watch because I’d be curious to hear that too…maybe the cover artist has writers block to sing originals 🤷‍♀️…I do believe every original band should sing a few covers automatically because that alone will generate more fans 💯💯if they weren’t known by their originals they will be known by their covers and somehow it will balance out with fans…I going to do the next Radiohead song over the weekend….THE END‼️‼️omg u ended like u we’re being chased off the air 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣take your time 🙃

My apt was tolerable...the air was cool, but the sun was toasty. Not sure reaction channels and covers are related...but I get that's the double dose, covers AND a reaction. I get it...I think . THE END

Whatever basket you put your eggs in is the basket that’s full of eggs. If you want the original songs basket full, then practice that, if you want the covers basket full, then practice that. I think they’re a good test though to see how your tracks stand up against them. If you play a cover in between originals and the cover is a little more shiny then you got some work to do.

In the long-run it pays to be original.
