They did go their separate ways but could still come together when they needed each other , THAT is a tight band . They never left each other and never will
Kim deal's vocals and bass playing is brilliantly blissful like as if she was truly meant to play for the pixies in the 80s. Truly ahead of there time.
+Bruno Ksu Hello Bruno, I'm a Huge Pixies Fan and I once had the Live in London DVD and on it was a song that i dug but I since lost said DVD and want to hear the song again-It's about how he misses his girl and wants her to put on her pretty dress than roll around around in the dirt and get it good and sweaty, wrap it up and send it to him!Does this sound familiar to you? If by chance you know the tune please reply back with it- Id'e be ever so Grateful Thank you Sandy......xo
+Sandra Mackey Hi, Sandy! The title is "Cactus" ... track no. 8. on Surfer Rosa (try: watch?v=94oKSSMA3dA or live in Greece: watch?v=xMhnmQ6O-bU). Marvelous lyrics, btw....
True, however after the success of Gigantic he didn’t really let her do anything else for the most part. He took over more than he already had basically because he was jealous of Kim, which is why she is almost nonexistent in Bossanova and Trompe le Monde. I don’t blame him because if I was in his shoes I would have done the exact same thing. So while it is true that Frank (or any of his other names) is the Pixies, they would have done a lot better if Kim was given more creative freedom.
@Christopher Bingham Looking back at it I realized that I probably wouldn’t do that I just have mental health issues so I see myself as a bigger dick than I actually am.
The Average RU-vid User very distinctive, I think I would recognize his fuzz anywhere....like Eddie vanHalen or Tom Schulz. going to listen to Boston 'long time' :-)
Em..... Doesn't she have a relationship with a guy? And hell, didn't her husband at the time contributed in some way or another to her work in the pixies? I think you're confusing tomboy with lesbian. She definitely made jokes about it, to the point of calling her band "the breeders" a derogatory term for straight people, but I think is safe to say that if she isn't straight, she's bi, or fucking wathever she's amazing, and talented. Wathever sexuallity she is, isn't the reason (as fans) we fell in love with her, is because of her amazing contribution to the band. She's awesome and she kicks ass, end of story
It bothers me how when Kim sings "A big big love" for the first big she closes her lips for a proper B sound but on the second "big" she doesn't. So this video ruined the song, now I'm hearing A big ig love.
