I'm originally from Canton, OH (currently in Smyrna, TN) and have been by the Beach City Airport a few times. Are you familiar with the "Beach City Baby" (a DC3 variant I think) that they saved from that airport? The plane has an amazing story and has been given a full restoration back to a WW2 transport plane.
