The northen plains biome looks completely different at the start of the game. Interestingly there's a window of opportunity to best discover chests as earlier they're inaccessible and by this point several are underwater. The Aluminium in those caves is handy for the nearby custom start location, although you do have to trek down to the rift canyon to get Iridium (if you don't want to be boring and just go back to the central plateau). The deconstruction effect is new, it helps prevent accidental deconstruction (it's easy to leave your multitool on deconstruct mode by mistake) and it might also make it easier to deconstruct items in certain cases such as at 46:18 where you can see it's trying to deconstruct the compartment and you need to get close to the T3 Heater. Looks like you almost hit the Fuse jackpot - just missing a Plants Multiplier Fuse. I believe there are seven areas hidden behind explosives so that will be interesting once you unlock them. The various other Quartz are mostly for late game items although the Solar Quartz is used by the Microchip - T3 Torch, the Magnatar Quartz by the Microchip - T3 Deconstruction and the Quasar Quartz by the Microchip - T3 Blueprint Pinning (the latter two also use Blazar Quartz) which can be unlocked from Blueprint Microchips. 29:20 I believe there is something to discover in this general area although I don't know the exact location. Lirma Seeds are obviously useful for Plants Rockets but the other plant seeds do have a late game use although you probably have plenty anyway. The bridge through the broken window only has that one Locker Storage, but it's a nice touch. Had you not discovered how to jet pack your way in there is another way available later on in the game. There's an interesting interaction between Oxygen fuses and machines that doesn't apply to other fuses. First I'll just note that for Heat, Pressure and Plants, you have a normal production level, which I'll call 100%, then if you one fuse the level is increased to 500%, then 1000% for two fuses and 1500% for three. This does mean that if you have multiple Fuses that you want them to hit the same machines as the second and third boost are 500% but the first boost is only 400%. Some Oxygen producing machines, such as the T2 Algae Generator, also work like this, but others, such as the T2 Flower Spreader, already have a production level given by the seed; each Oxygen Fuse then adds 500% to that level. This means that a T2 Flower Spreader with a Golden Seed will have 600%, 1100%, 1600% or 2100% for zero to three fuses while a T2 Algae Generator will have 100%, 500%, 1000% or 1500% like you get with Heat, Pressure and Plants. Oddly this means that given the choice, if you only have two Oxygen Fuses then you would prefer to put them on T2 Flower Spreaders but if you have three then you would prefer to put them on T2 Algae Generators. (Well, you would want them all on your T2 Biodome first...) I do like it when you deconstruct obsolete machines; the only exception being T1 Drills as they're actually more power efficient than T2 Drills. The T1 Machine Optimiser range isn't particularly important given that it only optimises five machines, assuming you can in fact craft five of the top tier machines of each type. (The tooltip does actually mention that.) The Gas Extractor is probably the first machine you'll build that needs Zeolite. It occurs to me that you haven't crafted the T5 Backpack yet which is 25% bigger than the T4 so would have come in handy for all of that resource collection. You also unlocked the Screen - Orbital Information, just in case you want to remind yourself of how many rockets you've launched. And I don't think you have a Screen - Biomass yet. And it looks like you unlocked the Seeds Spreader Rocket off screen; this will help with your Oxygen. Sorry for the essay, but this episode covered a lot!
Looting is tied to levelling up, appart from one or two chests in the world. The other great thing is there is still more things to discover as you progress too
