So the Saints in this series spend 2 picks on QB, a 5th and a 1st, give up on both, ship a 3rd and a 2nd for a veteran stopgap midseason, and still have the same issue with the offensive line giving up key pressures despite the sack count being low. And Jones STILL missed throws as bad as Westbrook has all season. But Westbrook was the problem! At some point, it’s the coach and the front office that's to blame, especially after we lose to our main rival in a gotta have it game. Tim Cannon is committing war crimes worse than the NFC Title game refs did for the Rams. If these were my Saints in real life, I'd change the channel.
Don't forget that the 5th round QB was given up on after playing very well when starting! Sure wonder how the fan base reacted to him not being the starter, both before and after Mac Jones.
I absolutely love the content but I am still shocked by how bad Cane is at this game despite playing it for 15 years… the grind is fun for a while but it becomes frustrating after a while
Unfortunately this hasn't been Hurricane's best franchise but I think it's his most realistic(minus the HC not being fired) The Saints are going to be terrible for awhile especially with their cap issues....
@gkdunch Pearman, Blackwell, and Tomlinson are the best from this crop, full stop. Fenderson and Binns could get there, but Fenderson is inconsistent and Binns is stuck behind a deep safety group. This is the worst I've seen since the Bears/Broncos. Take your pick.
The story of this game is definitely the pass rush on both sides. Both QBs had some inconsistent accuracy, but Ridder's timing was so rarely getting disrupted like Jones's was. Not too surprising I guess with two O-line starters out, but the margins for error were just so much tighter with all the 5-10 yard passes the Saints offense had to try to consistently string together to advance down the field.
@@Oshujax21 Yeah, I think Westbrook WAS genuinely less accurate - you couldn't have counted on putting together some of today's drives with 5-10 consistent short completions with him slinging it, but he did pull off more of those high-end/scramble situation/etc throws and Jones is still missing some crucial open looks, so the tossup between the two of them is much more of a wash than you'd like.
@lachlanstill4813 The fact that it's a wash is the entire problem. It was an unnecessary trade. We could have just bolstered the offensive line, suffered through the season, and rolled the dice again with the draft or free agency. Instead we jettison a young quarterback for...playing like a young quarterback behind a mediocre offensive line.
You can't really blame Jones for these results. The team is built around defence and running and both of those have failed recently, forcing Jones to do more than he was traded for
This was finally the moment I realized the game literally will not allow this team to win more than 7 games no matter what. This moment right here. Might as well just condense the rest of the season into one video and call it a series.
These Saints can be good. The issue is that Cane's killed draft capital on three QBs who aren't solutions, while the Saints are soft up front on both sides of the ball. But Westbrook is the problem!!!
it doesnt matter which qb you pick since both dont have abillities the one poisition in the game you are cheaping out on is your most important. you NEED a QB with good abillities to throw the ball constitently in the game
I think the undertold story of this loss is losing the battle in the trenches on both sides of the ball. The falcons consistently got quick pressure with 4 man rushes and no matter what blitz you called the Falcons seemed to always have enough time for Pitts or London to get open.
I don't think the QB olay was mostly to blame for this loss. I think a bigger talking point should be how terrible the redzone offense has been. I don't even remember the last time a redzone TD was thrown this season. I'd also recommend using zone drops for linebackers on third downs to stop those digs over the middle and the short plays underneath.
With how violently hot-and-cold Westbrook and Jones are both proving to be, a part of me is genuinely wondering if we need to pull an early-to-mid-'70s Washington and start platooning them Jurgensen/Kilmer-style. Do I need to go out and make "I like Mac/Blake" bumper stickers or something?
Hey hurricane I know it's still a little early without knowing the ratings yet but have you decided on how your picking your franchise team for Madden 25? Are you going to put it to a vote build one from scratch? Any ideas yet that you're ok with sharing?
I wanna see Garrett Wilson break out. He was such a big signing but since hasn’t made as much noise as I was expecting. Maybe try and get him a hot start next game open up the offense more
Day 37 of asking cane to finish the madden 18 bears franchise and get them a Super Bowl. Even if it’s a sim… I can’t give up🙏. Also, cane one of few RU-vidrs who’s series I rewatch💯
The Garrett Wilson signing was a disaster before the ink dried Cane it might be time to get rid of him in the offseason and let Pearman and Priestly get those snaps, the signing really killed Pearman's chances at becoming more than what he is now
Vikings and eagles games are must win if you wanna make the playoffs. Lose both and you might as well pack in the rest of the year. Team is just too wildly inconsistent, the talent is there no question. Cane is always able to build a team, but on field is just bad rn
No QB controversy here. I did not like Westbrook when he was drafted or when he started. The QB we need is not currently on the roster. Westbrook can hit a deep ball but is eratic. Jones can hit the flats and the shorts but cannot hit deep or outs. We are better with Jones but it requires that our running game is solid and that the defense play well.
Damn, i wonder sometime is he playing a real person, because in the years iv'e been playing madden. I've never seen someone get their ass kicked by the cpu on a consistent basis unless they dont know how to play that good. He's trying to play madden like's its real football. Thats not gonna work. You play madden like madden.@@nathanshackelford7067
@@nathanshackelford7067 yea but do you only use the plays madden sugguests to you cane doesnt select plays by formation or play type he only uses the recomended plays to make it more real
@@nathanshackelford7067 huhur I use sliders that make the game play like it's on rookie and brag about it being to easy lmao clown just like this cane guy
Anybody’s conference but do you have enough faith to put coach firing ON… Lol probably more fair for next season. I want to see how you navigate this QB s***show
bro you gotta like sit down one of these days and just practice throwing. at this point it def isnt the qb's you have or have had. i think its just you playing bad lol
Exactly bro, from the videos iv'e watched, this dude is not all that good. Iv'e never in all my years playing madden ever watched someone get their ass kicked so bad by the cpu.smdh😂😂
Jones isn’t the problem it’s this awful play calling. Why run a 15 yard in route from the 2 it glitches the game out and forces the throw to go anywhere random. And these routes take too long on shorter yardage
Tim needs to go! All the talent in the world, none of the discipline. He's relied on that first year success too much. Also, I think David deserves a shot to see if he can finish the race because I don't trust Westbrook or Mac
Jones had his chance, Westbrook had his chance, they both failed. YK WHAT THAT MEANS, DAVID MAYWEATHER CHADS, RISE AGAIN AND CALL FOR HIM, CANE I MAY UNSUBSCRIBE IF MAYWEATHER DOESN'T GET A CHANCE
