In truth the company she got in bed with probably spent two years nailing down the ingredients for this product and with her now being part of that company 'technically' she isn't lying. However, the way she makes the claim suggests that she made the recipe. Which is not true. Her 'team' did not exist until recently and to claim employees of a product company as her 'team' when she just took them over is disingenuous. That would be like Steve Jobs dying right before the reveal of the iPhone, another party outside the company purchasing the company, becoming CEO, revealing it, and then claiming that his team had spent several years working on and creating this new phone.

Pokimane $7, 7 cookies per serving, 4 servings per bag, 28 cookies Costco: $9, 7 cookies per serving, 14 servings per bag, 98 cookies So when people say hers is cheaper, sure, buy $2, with 70 less cookies lol. The only thing that plays here where people shout out is that she could come up with an original idea which is a very common thing in the food industry But in the case of valkyrae, she was selling a cosmetic product which always needs an idea of what end result you would get after using it and it did not server that same results to a large amount of customers. Everyone knows celebrity branded products are often sold at ridiculous prices anyway, not really sure what the problem is. The only big "secret" is that it's sold cheaper under a different name but I think that's pretty common. I used to work for a food manufacturing company and we made regular and cheap versions of various products (different name and logo.) Literally all we did when changing between them was to switch the labels.

Unless you have someone on the board of the recently rebranded Toatzy Midnight Cookies who is a simp or avid fan of Pokimane it is more likely she reached out to the brand after she tried them when she bought them at Costco (or when she tried them at a friends house or whatever).
