This was originally going to be the one at the Telford Steam Railway but for reasons, I decided to go to for my local heritage railway instead..
Locomotives:
S160 '6046' (1225 running number is part of the experience)
BR Class 33 '33102' "Sophie"
NOTE: This is not part of PlotUK. The CVR episode should be coming at some point next year.

pardon? are you trying to say the differences between the locomotive in the book and film? If so: A) Its a fictional story of a boy who doesn't believe in Santa taking a train ride with other non believers to the North Pole (without their parent's / guardian's consent) to see Santa which is basically impossible given the route that they take so I think that listing the differences with the two locomotives and what isn't accurate to the film's locomotive is the least of your concerns. B) Both the book and film, have the locomotive based on the Pere Marquette 1225 after the author of the book (Chris Vans Allsburg) saw the newly preserved 1225 on static display awaiting overhaul through the classroom window when he was a lad. I can see what your getting at by saying the book's engine is a PRR K4 (I'm British so I had to look the loco up) however the K4's never had a front headlamp. Even though the film's locomotive is also 1225, the whistle sound was from the movie star engine, Sierra Railway No. 3 However, when it comes to films and TV shows, trains are never 100% accurate and I have personally got offended a few times when I witness this. Heck it's been confirmed that the film's 1225 has a Flux Capacitor (from the BTTF films) in the cab. I can be seen for a slit second in the film just after they pass the Cariboo.

So that’s where the s160 used at telford’s found itself, and that’s why this year it’s 5619!

5197 has gone to play Polar Express down in Oxfordshire whilst sister engine 6046 stayed at the CVR to play Polar Express

Nice footage. 6046 and 5197's owner must make a fortune out of this considering he's gone and bought another S160 and looking in to getting another one.

Slightly a bit more track to run on than at Telford. I was an actor at Telford for two years but couldn't make it this year. Hope they got someone to take my role waving at the train every hour dressed in a red suit !!!!!

apparently this year's santa was a little bit sketchy.. for example: www.thesun.co.uk/fabulous/17151752/kids-traumatised-dodgy-santa-mum-polar-express-experience/ www.tyla.com/life/heritage-railway-polar-express-christmas-experience-father-christmas-20211208 all you need to do is look up: Telford Steam Railway in the news section of Google to see how bad looking this year's santa was.

@@terrier_productions there were four Santa's employed. One for each carriage and one who waved at the train every hour as it pulled into the North Pole station. I was known as Soggy Santa, as it was mainly raining and very soggy underfoot. Fortunately I was only outside for 5 minutes every hour and spent the rest of the time keeping warm in a parked up brake van with a nice coal stove to sit next to.
