After realizing that the serum bomb did indeed go off and has infected numerous people around the valley, the team is at a loss of what to do. There aren't very many people they can reach out to for help, and even so, the ones that remain don't seem to be answering back to their pleas. Just as they make one final effort, another team member is suddenly removed from the equation, which leaves more questions than answers. But that isn't the only bombshell dropped on the team, leaving them with very little to go off of except the singular question: "how?"
00:00 - Last Time...
The team laments on the discovery they made in the last video: that everyone in the valley that was close to the serum bomb is now infected and what the means going forward.
04:31 - Woods Is Being WHAT??
A cop shows up to the studio and proceeds to arrest Woods for an unknown reason.
08:12 - What Happened?!
The team discusses why Woods might have been arrested and what they can do moving forward to help him.
10:08 - Anything In The Warehouse?
Matthias, Samantha and Bailey proceed to Woods' shop in Red Base warehouse, checking it for clues or any answers in general.
14:23 - What About His Car?
They do the same search on his car, making some interesting discoveries, but nothing that proves anything about what he'd been arrested for.

The team goes to Catherine and asks her some questions about Woods and some of the discoveries they made in his car.

Woods is finally able to call the team and let them know the shocking news: the experiment survivor is dead.

I'm actually so mad that they all jump to this assumption that "oh yeah woods did something horrible none of us can trust him" soooo easily. like if you'd been through all this with someone, whether or not they took a file, you'd have trust them a little more than that. ugh, I'm not alright

I totally agree, the whole episode I was thinking he literally stole 1 thing (not a bunch like they implied) to protect someone he loved (seemingly rightly so now), and he literally said to Matt before they took him away that he was referring to priors from high school.

I fully agree.. It's gross how quickly Matt gets everyone to turn on Woods!!! Matt has done way more trespassing than Woods and has kept information from everyone. So what Woods took a few pieces of paper to keep someone safe.... Look what happened to her once Matt had his way! Now she's dead! Woods has been through so much with Project 863, how can Bailey even have the right to chime in? New girl, you don't even know!!! Team Woods!

So sad to see everyone turn on woods except for Kat and Sam, even Tanner turned on him. Matt heard woods's joke about prior charges and laughed, heard him say it was all in highschool, and heard woods say it must be syntec and STILL went back inside pretending that woods is a criminal, and he must've done something horrible, judging him on his past behavior, even when Matt and the team have all done illegal things on camera. Talking about how woods is a criminal no matter how small the crime and then searching through his car. I understand you would have some distrust after the file, but this is insane. Woods has been with the team for YEARS. For his so called friends to turn on him and show such double standards is so sad.

I can't believe how quickly everyone jumped to the conclusion that woods was guilty, first and foremost woods was not arrested, he was taken to be questioned, he was not read his rights so it definitely was not a arrest, 2nd point is that if people think back he used to hang out where they found the mountaineer and probably sprayed graffiti and thrown stones when he was young which is probably the record he was talking about and finally woods took the file and only the file, he was trying to protect someone who he has known since he was very young and now she is dead because matt had her come in and because someone on the inside is part of syntec she is gone,they should have spoken to her somewhere else, so not only has woods lost a family friend but now he will know what everyone so easily believed, that his so called friends all turned on him just because he took a file that didn't even belong to matt or spellbound

Matt’s complex he’s gained through the storyline is downright gross. Worrying about Woods’ trespassing being illegal then turning around not looking twice about the legality of rifling through his personal belongings. The lock they found in his trunk was not the storage unit lock. The storage unit lock was a square master lock, not rounded. I get that they hate being compared to Syntec employees but Matt has become more and more like them. Doing whatever it takes to get what he wants, not caring about what really matters, resolution. Let’s not forget that the experiment survivor had trigger words from syntec employees said to her during the interview. If only Matt’s character development didn’t lead him to be a character that’s easy to hate

Matt continues to grow more and more aggressive and sporadic. Woods was genuine in telling them his charges were dealt with, and he continues to judge and shame Woods. He questions him constantly. What if there was a file on Amanda and Luna? Wouldn’t Matt do the same? Woods feels a deep connection with the experiment survivor and wanted to keep her file off the videos. Yeah, he’s questionable. Woods is a strange dude. But he has good intentions in my mind. Why is Matt growing more and more aggressive?

I agree with both of you but you have to see Matt’s perspective. Woods is a very close friend of him and is someone who he trusted so much he made apart of his team. He entrusted him with all the information going around the workplace. As well as entrusted his opinion on how to deal with the problems at hand. When he found out Woods stole from him, Matt felt betrayed. And the serum is not helping with his anger towards woods tho.

He didn't tell the others "He said the charges from when he was in high school were dealt with" he just said that he had previous charges and without context that could make you jump to the worse things. Then he fed into it "I mean he stole from us why wouldn't he steal from someone else?" He was very quick to convince everyone that Woods did something pretty bad. The girls sound like they are tiptoeing and are trying to be very careful with the words to not anger Matt with their views since they don't completely agree with him. However, it's on the others too for thinking that about their friend.

Matt needs to chill out. You can't possibly tell me if he saw Amanda's name in a file he wouldn't have freaked out about it and tried to talk to her before saying anything. Protecting a family member is not a betrayal. He saw someone his family loved that they thought was dead's name on a file related to a confirmed death project. That's terrifying. Matt has no room to talk about breaking laws, considering they broke into Ben's RV and stole documents and serum, went into Wes storage and took things, and has continuously used his power as a boss to justify hurting who he calls friends. I think Bailey is right, I think the Absolate is screwing with Matt because ever since he started wearing it his personality has changed. I wanted Woods to stay for the story. But I know what its like to be around someone who doesn't trust you and be constantly undercuts with snide remarks and for Woods mental health maybe it's better for him to leave.

He changed a bit since getting infected with serum. Syphus will slowly break the team but destroy the leader mentally. Idk I’m just throwing stuff out there.

Bailey is a bit judgemental here. Woods did steal something, but a) in a very unusual situation and b) to protect someone. I wouldn't call that a tendency to steal, if anything it was questionable, similar to how they go through his private car afterwards.

I remember sam talking about how matt seemed to be sort of more upset and just more and more angry with everybody on the team. Now hear me out, i think its the absolate. In harry potter and the deathly hallows, the horcrux in the necklace. Made ron and harry go out of control, even making ron leave harry and hermione for a month until he took it off. I dont remember who told matt to wear the absolate or else he'd die, but i think they were trying to break the team up.

as much as i don’t think bailey had anything to do with deb or syntec in that sense, you are right :/ they are so quick to judge woods after he took the file (of someone he knew well and though was dead) in order to keep her name out of the public eye and stuff like that, but matt is able to act the way he does without anyone going against him because he has more power as he’s the boss.

Woah, I seriously got chills when Woods said 'she's dead'. I was NOT expecting that but honestly, as much as it feels bad to say, I feel relieved to hear that that was the reason and not something else. As for the rest of the episode, Matt, you really need to try and take a step back from yourself for a moment. I understand that Woods took those files and now you feel like you can't trust him, but what would you have done if you saw Amanda's name on one of the files? Woods acted out of confusion and concern for someone he knew. It wasn't the right choice, but people can make mistakes. Give him a break. He's been a great help to you all this time and he's your friend. All that doesn't and shouldn't just go away because of one rash decision. Now is not the time to left a rift divide you from people. You're going to need all the allies you can get, because this whole ordeal is growing by the second.

Okay, so I love the key series and what it has turned into. These characters have developed and been through so much together, and it hurts and makes me feel angry to see them give up on Woods SO QUICKLY. Without any information. Yes, he stole one file. I get it questions your trust, but I feel like Matt and Bailey were just too harsh about it. There was no concern for him. Woods has had Matt's back since the beginning and has been a big help during all of this...and he made a mistake.

hey matt, take it easy on woods. He's clearly dealing with a lot of things. You need to empathise and consider that fact that he has known this person personally and finding their name on a file would be overwhelming for him. I imagine that you would've felt and done the same thing if it were somebody you knew personally. Subject 4 has noticed ur personality change, you're only thinking about urself and what others has done to YOU. You are slowly disregarding what your co-workers/friends feelings and perspective on things. You keep telling everyone your fine, but it's starting to become obvious in the latest episodes about ur aggressive and sporatic behaviour. We also think that you're being controlled by Syphus through the serum in you.

Notice the fact woods said "highschool" and matt was telling him do we know you and went to the team and said "woods had charges" but didn't mention the Highschool bit making everyone think it was recent. Like maybe lockpicking (which I doubt he knew in highschool).

I would say it's reasonable for Matt and team to put themselves in the shoes of Woods, because that was literally a family friend (technically family) that he was trying to protect and yea Woods may have lied to them, but this is deep. He's worked for Matt for around 3-4 years and co-workers become friends over time and I'm on the side of Woods so we should empathize and see it from his lens instead of pulling out the "he betrayed us" card.

I don’t know if someone else mentioned this but Woods said Highschool and if Matt, as his boss doesn’t have any awareness of previous criminal charges, then it’s very likely from my knowledge that they were not major issues when he was a minor and that his records were sealed when he became of legal age. Likely something stupid like trespassing or being around alcohol or something while under age. I think they need to ask woods.

In a old Matt vid, Matt asked wood if he got arrested, what would it be for. And he said he has been known to be in the wrong place at the wrong time, so maybe it’s just a case where the victim looks at a group that had been in one place at the time and tells the cop which one it is. I had a sneaking suspicion that he was arrested because of a murder and that his aunt had something to do with it. Also, did Matt completely gloss over the fact that he was joking? And that he was talking about these events happening in high school? I don't know, everyone is just very quick to judge Woods when his actions ( his betrayal) didn't have any malicious intent at the time. And good thing this was documented because if he was actually arrested for suspicion of a crime, the cop didnt read Woods his Miranda Rights. Not 100% true. People can be taken in cuffs for questioning and they don't have to give Miranda Rights immediately. Each state varies for the length of time before it becomes absolutely necessary. What this cop did is technically 100% legal

I know I’d find someone not understanding Miranda rights. They don’t have to be read unless it’s for custodial interrogation even then there are some questions they can ask with out Miranda like to help ID you. There are no laws saying you have to read people their rights by a certain point. There’s are many polices about when to read someone their rights but it’s not a law. In fact Miranda was an actual person who was arrested and convicted, he said they violated his rights by not informing him of his rights, the judge agreed but upheld the sentence because the information that was gained from questioning wasn’t significant. I think it’s important for people to understand their rights and laws so I hope this helps people out to understand.

Well the mountaineer is under his name, so that wasn't really trespassing. Originally it was considered abandoned because it had no plates. However they did Trespass on several Syntec locations and Ben's abode.

I'm sorry but I am very upset right now with the way everyone is treating Woods and trying to incriminate him. All he was trying to do was keep the file to protect someone he genuinely loves and cares about just like any of them would do if it was their close family and friends and honestly he probably didn't want to expose her to all of this again or put her on the internet for everyone to see and now she's dead. My uncle a few years before he passed away, worked as a Police Officer and from tips and knowledge he gave me. I distinctly remember him telling me that when someone is getting arrested, the siren and lights will be on. And they kept woods mic on, plus the siren was not on from what we can hear. They are taking him in for question, not arresting him. If they do put him in a cell then the officer would be passing legal actions. If Wood's does not plead guilty to anything, or justify any speculations they have, he cannot get arrested. (P.S this is based off of what my uncle told me when I was very young, he worked as an Officer for a long time and these rules may have changed without my knowledge.)

I truly don’t understand how one file that was taken to protect someone he knew and was loyal too for much longer than the team caused so much issue. Like woods has been nothing but a guy with good intentions the whole time. Matt being the boss of everyone is what is going to lead them to be torn apart. He’s becoming too much like B27. He flips back and forth from his normal self to this manipulative and aggressive person who can only think about the wrongs in the world around him. The team, specifically the girls, rely and listen in to too much of what he says. The way they so quickly jumped on woods with Matt was heartbreaking. Shoutout to Kat for the “it’s just woods” moment. I’m sure when he watches this back he’s going to need that moment. Don’t quote me on this but I’m pretty sure this is how it goes at least for my state. If Woods wasn’t forced to tell Matt about his previous charges upon hire/application then they weren’t serious. When you get hired they background check and anything serious would still be there. They only expunge or drop the small offenses for minors when they become of age. If it were a felony or anything that was serious Matt would have to know. Like I said not 100% on this rule for other states. Either way they were in high school so it’s likely paraphernalia/underage consumption/trespassing. Which there are tons of people who like abandoned places and we know about “special time”.

Theory: After they interviewed the survivor, Syntec figured out who that was and found her. They kidnapped her and she was forced to tell Syntec all she knew or suffer the consequences and was later killed by them so no more secrets would get out.

Theory: When the experiment survivor said "syntech" has eyes and ears everywhere, she might be right. There is a slim chance that maybe they are tracking all their employees? But that was heavy news she was found you know. But the concerning part is that are there more phantoms, It's possible but the more I think about it what she may have left for Woods is a trace to the S.P.I.R.E possibly and other things that have more info on the company Good Luck team.
