@@NicholasCorvin In Hungary we call it "nagybőgő", or "gordon" from greek "khordi", it means "stringed" (the cello is "cselló", or "gordonka", that means "small doublebass".) Gordon is very funny, because Sting real name is Gordon Sumner. 😀
It's always cracked me up how this song was perceived by the public. A love song that people have played at their weddings and so on. Sting has talked about this a lot, it's a song about jealousy and stalking told from the perspective of the stalker.🤣
Loved the police when I was a kid. This was one of the songs I had on repeat. Always get goosebumps when hearing this song. What a singer sting was and what a band.
I remember when this song came out in 1983. I was 13. I used to watch it every time in came on MTV. The neighbor girl, "Sherry" dedicated this song to her boyfriend, all the while in my heart, I silently dedicated it to her. Crushhhhhhh. She never knew.
Became a fan of The Police from the first album and have every one of them. The Police as a group was fantastic and Sting as a solo artist was next level. Keep up the reactions Trav and Suzie, we love it from your friends Downunder.
This was one of the Uk's prolific Stalker and Serial Killer. It is amazing how many people thought this was a real Love story, lol. He would love you to death.
Sting has also written orchestral pieces and a musical play about his home town which might interest you. It's called The Last Ship where he's returning to his roots - accent and all.
The guy washing the window in the film clip? Like the Beatles, Sting loved to put little hidden meanings in his songs and in their videos…. Back in the early days he was on the street and heard an old window washer guy whistling Walking on the Moon…he realized that he must have “made it” at that moment, the start of their big time career….. that’s why we see the window washer in the last song the Police did together.
Well I have often wondered what you would do with lighter material. The only reactions I have heard you do is to KISS songs - 7 of them over the past 3 months. You didn't disappoint. It is nice to hear the truth from musicians of a heavier genre. The Police certainly went out on a high note with this one. This was the 3rd single off of this final album of their career. It went to #1 for 8 astonishing weeks.😮😮😮❤❤. At the time I thought I would tire of it but it got a fresh take when a rap artist retooled the lyrics and dedicated to the memory of The Notorious B.I.G. I'm not a fan of rap but it actually, music wise, stuck closer to the vein of the original. Bass guitar playing, by Sting, is jaw-dropping
You two have absolutely buried this beautiful song with your constant interruptions and stupid talking! The main role here is obviously alcohol. Watch out, the police go "huh, huh, huh!"
@@jattikuukunen A link in the description to the music video has nothing to do with it. There are good reactions and useless ones. So there's nothing to thank you for.
I love this song. Girl, you're almost always a good reactor, your man, not so much. But for this song, you guys would have been better off to just let the song play and smile.
