The rage of the father just builds and ripples. You dread the end when he gets home you know something horrible will happen. I think this is their best song

He's right there with Bonham for me in that his style is just impeccable within a framework where he barely overdelivers on exactly what is called for in the first place.

Copeland usa una variante (el solo) del grip tradicional en la mano izquierda que le hace ganar mas volumen especialmente en el rimshot. Es muy dificil

Those long arms and legs serve him well as a drummer. I believe it’s called Leverage. It’s like a Tall picture who can really wind up a pitch because of their tall and muscular frame. Like an athlete, he has this physical ability most people don’t possess. Plus he’s talented and practiced his craft for years. He improved until I can say he’s one of the greatest percussionists of all time! He can play relentlessly for an entire show! He has the stamina and strength to do it and do it well and with precision! This is critical as some drummers get a bit sloppy as they tire out after an hour of playing. Not Copeland!

To this day I'm still amazed, as I was way back then, at how just THREE guys can make so much noise.... so much incredibly awesome, perfect noise.

It's possible, but every member has to bring some big time chops to the table. These guys do...
@lucioetchamendi6362

Noise is not the correct definition... they fullfilled the air, noise is another stuff, more of distortion, Police did not need it. They were very clean.

Not taking anything away from the Police, but several groups have done well with three. Cream, The Who, and that little known guy, Jimi Hendrix, the Doors, Emerson Lake and Palmer, Nirvana, ZZ Top and Green Day. But for me, Synchronicity II is one of the heaviest statements of today's money oriented, work-a-day world and to H*ll with the rest - out there and when the Police do it, I can believe they mean it.

Uh they have like 3 background singers you can see in the vid. You can also hear them doubling Stings voice most of the time. He stops singing a couple times and you can clearly hear it. I'm sure they are doing other things to fill in the sound. So it's not that big of a deal. Even though Sting is singing, playing bass and playing a synth with his foot.

Sting wrote most of the songs, but The Police completed the sound and Stewart the fearless leader. I love this group. Amazing performance. Bought the remastered Greatest Hits package on vinyl and it's so dang good!

Stewart Copeland was undoubtedly the powerhouse behind the police and the driving force behind everything they did. That's not to say Sting hasn't achieved success in his own right without him but nothing that could ever match the glory days made possible by Stewart.

The difference between a good band and a great band is the drummer. Still, Sting wrote some great songs and there's no way the band would've made it to the top without the song writing. It's the way with all the greatest bands. None of the members are replaceable. It's alchemy.

Nice to say I was there that night. Tickets were only given out by invitation or radio-station contests. My friend was dating one of the popular DJs who got us tickets on the day. The club had no seats -- everyone stood the entire time. It was packed but everybody was stoked. I started out in middle... I remember an intermission (someone can confirm this)... and as people used the break to go to the bathroom, I strolled up to the front. Ended up maybe 10 feet from the stage, staring up at Sting. In this video I'm still further back and actually saw myself in profile right near the end. Ironically, I'd already bought tickets to the Olympic Stadium show the next night, so I got to see the same set list two days in a row. Good god, this band was tight, and Sting was pumped for both performances!
