The first time I heard the album I was sitting in a field by myself and had tears running down my face,it's absolutely beautiful, the Spree bring out all my emotions more than any other band❤
Wow like a mixture of Daisy and Spree. I like. Btw, saw Daisy with Tracy Bonham and Spree with Bowie in Toronto. Also big Manhattan Center showcase where the floor felt like it was gonna give. I'd love to see you again.
@@donotbearobot hi, Tim. All the best to you and the band. Do you remember the shaving cream war with Bonham's band? You guys invaded the stage while they were playing.
@@bryan123483Yep, 2004. The Spree, 25 people in white robes, strolled out and filled the stage - I’d never heard of them - and immediately blew me away with their huge joyful sound and a big sense of fun. I was became an instant fan. Bowie followed up, looking fantastically healthy and fit, with an expectedly awesome long set, playing a nice mix of old classics and new tunes. An amazing night! It was only later I learned that the Spree were born from the ashes of the amazing Tripping Daisy. Thanks for hanging in there and doing that Tim D!
Just received my copy of the LP (yellow vinyl!): it's great, sounds even better, if that's possible. Only listening to side one so far, I'm waiting for this evening to flip it over, make the pleasure last!
I heard this last summer when Tim was driving around the country doing pop-up listening tours. The entire album is really something special -- really, the whole thing flows together like a dream. It's probably their overall best album. I'm really glad that it's finally getting to see the light of day.
. Loved you guys since I heard The fragile army all the way in the early 2000s . Your art has been very great addition to some of my favorite music. Thanks Tim and every in the band a million times. I couldn’t thank you enough for those memories
I've been so down for so long. I've been listening to old Spree songs and thinking about when things in my life and in the world were so much better. I never knew times could be so dark, for so long. I want this long period of darkness to end. This song, like so many other Spree songs, hits me right to the center of my soul.
I discovered the Spree in 2018 during a pretty bleak time (it gets really gloomy here in the French winter) and listening to the Spree, and watching their video (especially live) was my cure.
@@donotbearobot Would you ever consider coming on my show for an interview? Would love to have you. I once had you sign my I am an Elastic Fire Cracker Vinyl at show in Pittsburgh.
The new album Salvage Enterprise is a masterpiece! I'm instantly in love with this album, thank you to The Polyphonic Spree! Totally worth the wait! Beautiful and inspiring and uplifting and I'm not crying you're crying!
One of my favorite musical moments was seeing the Spree do Rocky at Bonnaroo. This is great stuff! I'm so stoked that a new album is coming out. Hopefully a tour? Come to Vermont! You can stay in my apartment. It might be a bit crowded, however.
@@thepolyspree Got my tickets, both airline and concert for the 15th! My birthday and the 20th anniversary of the Christmas show. Man, I'll have permanent facial damage from smiling so much!
I thought this was pretty boring and uninspired. The second half was going somewhere cool and then the third just sounds like you're trying to wrap it up rather than have a payoff for the previous strings and drumming. Thought I'd share, have a good one
