Wow I never knew they had sand fleas in grand isle?! Always thought the sand was too hard for them to move through. I know we used to catch them in Florida but the sand is way different. Over here the sand is more like a mixture of river sand, mud and clay

I've always wondered if Pompano ever make it around to the Louisiana gulf coast. Back In 2016, Catching my first Pompano while on vacation in Daytona re-ignighted my interest in fishing .

Pompano is one of my favorite fish to cook! I prepare it baked...in parchment paper. Find yourself a recipe for pompano almondine-maybe a Brennan's recipe. It's a simple dish and with a little creamed spinach it's delicious. You've probably cooked it this way, but if you haven't, fix it up. You won't be disappointed! I enjoy following you. That's how I like to get my baits out while surfcasting, I use a 8 ft kayak though lol. Striper fishing is just getting good up here in CT going out tonight and tomorrow to hopefully catch some monsters. Last fall I caught a 52 in striper, going for a bigger one this year. Love your videos mark.
