Damn I wish I was rich so I could request something like this to be built in my home or something. It'd be so comfortable for me, like having my own escape from the rest of the world.
Yes but I think the sense of an unknown threat that may be coming closer is a key aspect of the back rooms. Perhaps corresponding with the lost traveler going crazy. However I agree that the back rooms isn’t supposed to feel like it’s heavily populated or even populated at all.
Something about the poolrooms make it so good for me; just how clean everything is despite there being water and humidity everywhere, the fact that you can see sunlight coming from outside gives it an eerie nostalgic vibe, and the fact that vidoes of them show almost no entities but its never completely excluded makes it all the more unnerving but also weirdly comfortable
A refuge for resting and thirsty entities, they will not hesitate at an opportunity to get a meal while catching a drink. The cooler nature of poolrooms makes them perfect for winding down, compared to the lukewarm stuffy nature of backrooms levels.
i love how this started with a mediocre urban legend and turned into a genre. i love how everyone adds a little bit the architecture and everyone else just rolls with that.
Honestly, this is unnerving simply because you're completely alone, but this is definitely not nearly as depressing as the backrooms. This would be so cool if you were there with some friends or something, I think
@@ZyxieRumor I don't know about the whole back rooms lore. I feel like giving it levels and monsters and civilization and stuff makes it a lot less spooky. Originally it was just a place you get stuck if you were to somehow violate physics, then you get stuck in an endless office type building until you inevitably die. Lot more of a bummer, but also creepier that way imo.
@@revenantproxy9100 I always saw it as an endless expanse of random geometric shapes, objects, rooms, corridors etc. Rather than there being floors, it's more like just random holes, stairs and ramps creating layers upon layers upon layers. That way it expands seemingly infinity on all planes. I do kind of like the thought of an entity being there but it'd be creepier if there was only one and could only ever be seen in your peripheral vision and it would kind of stalk you and nothing more. That'd drive you insane and you'd be paranoid 24/7. I feel like the thought of being watched by something unknown is more uncomfortable and terrifying than being chased because of the uncertainty and unpredictability of said thing.
@@JordoGarcia the backrooms is a made up thing where sometimes you can clip into a wall and go on a random floor of the backrooms and some have beings or monsters very interesting I can't explain it well I would suggest to look it up. And lore is like the backstory of something in a way
@@JordoGarcia the backrooms is a place when you noclip out of reality into a :pocket dimension" where everything around you is twisted/disordered depending what level you are on it can range from level 1 to level infinity which technically there are an infinite amount of levels but theres a chance to escape back to reality through any level just not sure how
@@rvmovieguy it wasn’t a game. It probably is now. It just started out like some creepypasta like project that picked up a fanbase and expanded lore. Or maybe it’s real, and someday nobody will ever hear from you as you wander endless corridors scared shitless and drinking almond water. 🤷🏽
It always amazes me how these backrooms variants are always weirdly nostalgic. Like I’ve been to pools covered in tile like that, but only in my dreams could I have remembered such an expanse and weirdly shaped pools
Yes, you got it. I have the exact same feeling of nostalgia. I've had several livid dreams in early childhood exactly like this, with the pools and tiles everywhere, with the morning/afternoon illumination. It's almost eerie how familiar this place is to me, like visiting an old memory.
Fr I'd love it if there was just a way to get enough food and exercise by swimming in the poolrooms, like you would be so tired but also so strong after a while
I would argue this is infinitely worse than the back rooms. It’s almost impossible to run through waist deep water, and even on the tile it can still be wet and slippery. Not to mention the overwhelming smell of chlorine and the suffocating humidity. Just imagine hearing some kind of distant splashing, feet on wet tile, or kids playing in the water. This isn’t even discussing the fact that you have to choose between dying of dehydration or poisoning yourself with the chlorinated water. Edit: Thank you for quoting the intricate and inflexible doctrine of the backrooms wiki, however this was merely a different interpretation of this concept.
Chlorine dissipates from still water in about 72 hours, in addition you can consume clorinated water extensively for a long time before damage starts. Grab a glass and put it in the sun and within a few hours the chlorine will be gone
I had a strange dream as a toddler that gave me a similar eerie sensation. Instead of pools, however, I was surrounded by aquariums. Sometimes I wonder if it was a dream at all or just an incredibly vague memory from when I was a toddler.
That's what you call dreamcore, or weirdcore, most commonly known as lucid dreams It's similar to back rooms, but with no monsters Strange places where you feel like you've been in, that's because you have, in a dream
I really enjoyed this, and would love to see this in real life! I wasn’t aware it was supposed to be scary, but apparently it is to a lot of people in the comments? I just see cool architecture and wish I had such a cool place to swim in!
I guess this is computer animation? It looks real and very peaceful... You did such a great job on this.. Truly impressive! I'm not really sure what the "Back Rooms" stuff is about. Looking at nearby videos, it's a video game or conspiracy theory? It doesn't really matter. This was very enjoyable and pleasant. Thanks for sharing!
The Backrooms is basically a creepy pasta, similar to like Slender Man or the SCP. You basically glitch through reality or end up there some other way, but there's an almost infinite amount of floors and each floor has a different theme such as this (the pool room) or the "arctic zone" where it's just room after room of ball pits and you can hear them moving around you so you can feel there's something there besides just you. Idk about if it's a game, im sure there's been a few shitty games made to profit off the success of the videos and stories people tell if the backrooms, but I would absolutely love like a proper game, something similar to Control where you travel through a long progressive storyline and fight through different floors, maybe make the game with good replay availability if they let you choose options and those Options change what levels you end up on.
@tiffanyleatherman9807 The backrooms is a creepypasta (creepypasta means a short creepy online story meant to shock and/or scare the viewer). The backrooms is about when you noclip (noclip is a video game term for materialising through an object without “clipping”) and ending up in a place called the backrooms. The backrooms consist of many levels with different entrances and exits to the level but most people wind up in Level 0, which consist of fluorescent lights with a constant hum-buzz, a moist, yellow carpet, and yellow patterned walls when no clipping from the frontrooms (the frontrooms is the reality you are in right now and is the reality opposite of the backrooms) Level 0 is described to take on the appearance of an office building but with no offices or people, just the walls, lights and floor. In a lot of backrooms levels, there are entities that vary in safety and hostility. Some entities and extremely harmful while others are kinda chill. The poolrooms is the 37th backrooms level and consists of white tiled walls and pools of water (shocker). There are also different classes assigned to all sorts of backrooms levels that are assigned mainly on a level’s traits like it’s safety, security (how random and chaotic the level is) and it’s entity count. The 5 main classes are class 1, 2, 3, 4 and class 5. There are other classes that exceed these basic classes and/or have different traits but those are the main classes. Sanity is an essential survival factor in the backrooms and can deplete the more time you spend in the backrooms, especially on more dangerous levels. The universal drinkable fluid in the backrooms is almond water and can help increase your sanity. There are also certain levels including level 0 that can only be entered from the frontrooms. Also sorry if there are any mistakes in my writing, I am only just recovering from dengue as I am writing this. I've had reoccurring dreams "pool rooms" similar to this ever since I was a little kid and never really could get across that strange feeling I had in those dreams, but this is the best way I could describe it to someone. Seeing this outside of those wierd dreams evokes some very strange and scary nostalgia and is really interesting to me
I only ever dream that I'm accidentally naked or topless in public and have to sneak my way back home...I wake up to find my blankets on the floor. I even sleep with clothes on but I still have the stupid dream.
Same here. I dream of things like this and giant empty areas that look like shopping malls. They are actually really great dreams. I wish there was some actual structure that people could go explore that was related to liminal spaces like this
@@Schizobateman If I had to guess, I would say mine came from visiting the local indoor wave pool complex as a kid. Those places have jaccuzi's and kiddie pools that kind of look like this.
I can’t wait until VR becomes more immersive and we can explore the back rooms for real, can you imagine the workout you would get just walking around and trying to find a way out of a place like this?
@@shikupo Iam curious, can you die in the backrooms or the only thing that can kill you are the monsters? I mean it looks like you won't starve nor get thirty's but you can still feel pain and exhaustion
This is so disturbing. I used to have nightmares in a Poolroom type place. I remember specifically around the time my sister was born I kept losing her in the drain spill holes like at 0:35. This is so bizzare.
I don’t know what it is about them but swimming pools in my dreams were always the scariest things, I don’t even have a fear of water but I’d always do everything I could to stay out of them in any dream, and this looks exactly like these harmless yet scary pools I’d see
In some cultures/beliefs water is a portal for spirits. So it makes sense. I can’t say that I’m afraid of water in my dreams, but I am always leery of accepting gifts or eating things in dreams. 😂

@@SteffyCush Fun Fact: this (for a segment) is indeed a real place and isn’t rendered. What place you may ask? The first segment was taken in The Seagaia Ocean Dome in Miyazaki, closed in 2007. Computers cannot render specific details and you can tell at 0:14 with the iridescent water reflections on the wall. The more you know!
@@CesarSalad69 It is obviously rendered. The water physics are a dead giveaway, no ripples coming from the edges of the water, the waves are completely random and are not shaped by the walls. The tile edges of the are too simple, they should be constructed more like actual pool edges, with random filer pockets. There is also a complete lack of dirt and wear, and the tiles are are perfectly aligned, real tiles, there is a slight variation in the flat plane of the tiles, apparent in the reflections on the tile. I am an older autistic, obsessed with CGI since the 1980's, I can spot it a mile away. This is a good attempt though, perfect water physics is difficult to get. I just wonder was this Blender, Unreal, or something else?
Eerie. I'm happy you resisted the urge to add obligatory random Monsters. I've always found the backrooms spookier when the person trapped there is completely alone.
Well that’s because he’s in the safe zone. There’s only entities in the danger zone of the pool level. He showed a couple entrances to them where it’s pitch black
Same, im a little meh on all these depictions of the backrooms that have spooky monsters around every corner, just the fear of being alone in a strange place. Thats what makes it unique compared to every other survival horror cliche
As scary as it would be being stuck here, I actually wouldn't mind exploring a place like this. You should do more levels we haven't seen animated before!
@@kwentongpotchero6750 People sometimes consider the "poolrooms" to be apart of the backrooms but regardless, seems like a pretty relaxing and therapeutic place to be in. Brings back memories of going to waterparks and swimming pools as a child.
My favorite part of The Backrooms and its sublevels are that, unlike traditional horror genres, they can be completely well lit with no visible threat and still be the most terrifying thing in the world.
Its also the concept for me that there is this weird and random architecture existing outside of our reality that resembles human architecture but stretched to the extreme; it raises questions for wich we will never get the answers for
@@cosmiclevi5274 exactly, it's like they're just placed there as super realistic props that still bear an uncanny resemblance to our own reality, giving us this weird feeling of apprehension that something ominous is supposed to occur at any moment since it's all happening "backstage" in a sense, a hollow shell of a backdrop that eerily overlaps with our own existence without us even knowing
I showed these images to a friend of mine earlier, apparently he had a nightmare like this once - he was stuck in a sewer that had white tile and the water was only knee high. It’s interesting because I find these images mostly calming, but he finds them absolutely horrifying
For some reason a very long time ago, I had a nightmare like the footage shown when I was a kid. I still remember it to this day. (Among other nightmares that stuck of course) It was in a huge and I mean absolutely HUGE never ending 'tropical paradise' that got less crowded the further you went... So this really unsettles me as well for some reason.
nightmares are a big reason i dont like liminal spaces. im not surprised other people have had dreams about liminal spaces. i think the real terror comes from that feeling of "uhm...so how do I get out?" so you keep walking and walking...then running when panic sets in that you cant find an exit, and theres nobody around to ask for help...
a few weeks ago i went on a trip with a caving group to explore an abandoned slate mine. a large portion of the mine had been almost completely flooded, and so we kept coming across these massive caverns filled with unnaturally vivid dark blue water (i think the minerals in the rock had something to do with the water's colour). because it was so dark underground, you couldn't see the walls or the bottom of the cavern so it looked like it was just water stretching on forever in all directions. it was eerily quiet down there, and the many similar looking caverns had a sort of procedurally generated vibe. this video reminded me a lot of that experience.
As someone who grew up playing in indoor pools like this, this is as nostalgic as it is terrifying, I'd love a continuation of this, espesically with the pool theme. Those dark, cave-like areas spook me to my core.
I've never seen anything like this in the US. The poor lighting and gross tiles are terrifying. Is this a common indoor pool layout in central Europe? I've seen water park videos from Poland that look like this
How is it even 1% scary? I don't get it at all. The premise makes no logical sense. Why would, or how could something unnatural be made up of manmade things..? It's just confusing and annoying to me. Maybe I should bet people to pay me money to watch all of these or something. I'd lose for falling asleep.
The original concept of the Labyrinth was a manifestation of (interactable and escapable) chaos/madness- and potentially the most natural home for the fragment of ourselves that is destructive and unwanted- the Minotaur. The labyrinth is an ultimate construct of sacrifice and a trial that only the truly worthy could expect to complete. "The Back Rooms" utilizes modern special effects to visually manifest a sense of cosmic horror that you would expect within the walls of a Labyrinth without having to physically build one, now... with a twist. The Labyrinth has become a literal wet dream of escape-room fanatics. Are "The Pool Rooms" a place for care-free adventure? Or could they be the den of a beast and a tomb for the unworthy?
i was waiting for a rendition of this specific liminal space, and you did it extremely well. i like how there isn’t any unnecessary scares or monsters, and it just has that feeling of emptiness and loneliness yet it has the feeling of perfection and exploration as well.
For some reason, I think this would make for a nice screensaver. Just imagining having it randomly generate rooms as the camera goes through the rooms like a person. Probably really difficult to make into reality though I'd imagine.
The thing that gets me is imagining having to get into one of the pools, like the one in the tunnel. Imagine it’s total quiet everywhere but the sound of you getting in the pool and having to slosh around, all alone, and the sound reverberates through the room. Terrifying,
That's what I started imagining right from the start, but it would give me the best time, ever. Would love to know where this is/was. Edit: This is just immediate inner peace.
When I read the comments I was blown away by how many people have dreams about pools. Actually thought I was one of very few. Really thought provoking video even though I'm not sure it was meant to be. Thanks. ⚘
Now THIS feels like a backrooms level! I don’t like the idea of the lower levels getting darker and with more monsters, because that ruins the point of the backrooms. The pool rooms have the same vibe as the backrooms, but somehow just by adding water, it feels way more threatening, even though nothing’z happening
You have 3 levels in poolrooms 1st safe zone there is nothing there just water and its not deep 2nd main land you can stand there and its still safe but you have infinite suplies and you have platforms to stand and sleep and then there is danger zone and its filled with entitis and its deep and dark in this video you can see dark spots thats danger zone
The acoustics in a place like that would be fantastic. I'd like to hear a loud prolonged holler in a poolrooms video. Unless, like in the Bangor airport in Stephen King's The Langoliers, sound fails to reverberate. Not hearing an echo would scare me more.
Honestly didn't know this was supposed to be scary till i checked the comment section. Was too busy thinking about how friggin awesome it would be to have a pool room
I feel this way about a lot of these "liminal space" images and videos, but I think the scariest part is just being alone. If I was with my friends, a lot of these would be really cool places to chill and explore, I'd only be afraid if I was all alone (or even more afraid if there was something there that wasn't a friend!)
I would totally love to go to a place like this with all my friends and just explore for hours, totally alone. I feel like it would be relaxing but also unsettling in a way... ☺ (Edit: yes i know that "with my friends totally alone" doesn't make sense, i was trying to say that it would only be us there, and nobody else.)
I don’t know man. There’s something “uncomfortable” with this level. Like, I get the peaceful ambience of floating in the water maze but in the same breath, you have to realize that a normal human being can’t move as fast in water as if they were on land. You have 0 fighting chance in this level in my opinion. Granted, you don’t have a fighting chance in any of the back rooms (as far as I know, I’m still learning the lore and it’s so cool haha). Your options are limited to the point where, if you had to face an entity on this level, you’d have to bank on parts of this maze that had ground you could climb up on. I’m probably over thinking this but man. It’s interesting to see different takes from different people. I guess it really comes down to our experiences and how “comfortable” we feel in an environment that hasn’t given us grief in the past. To those who wouldn’t get bothered by this level, I commend you LOL. This would be my worse nightmare given my phobia of all things water and swimming. 😂😂😂😭
The entities here only show up in the danger zone, which can be accessed through the big dark tunnel shown in this video. No creatures will attack you unless you walk in there, and there are some bases here(totalling to around 100+ people in this level) as well as supplies such as food and water that can refill themselves in the main area of this level. You won't have to worry about the anything chasing you in the water as long as you don't go in the danger zone. It's a pretty cool area to stay and chill and you could even make it your own home. It also restores your sanity which is very important, so that's that. Overall, pretty safe as long as you don't voluntarily put yourself in danger.
I agree! I made the same comment and just saw yours! Someone replied saying the same thing your replies said but even though that did calm me the water still scares me a little.
@@avawhiteley2658 I drowned when I was 4 (my own fault for doing laps around a family friends pool 😂) and I also have thalassophobia so anything about water terrifies me. Im glad we share the same fear tho LOL. Makes me feel less alone
When I was in high school, I remembered a fragment of a dream about a family who lived in a normal looking house from the outside, but inside was a labyrinthine pool, and the family wore swimming costumes while at home, and would swim from room to room. It looked EXACTLY like this. It's uncanny to me, as though the creator had been reading my old dream journals. There was one hallway without lights, stretching endlessly into a dark abyss. Nobody in the family knew where it led to or had ever attempted to swim down there to find out. It was a mystery they had all learned to ignore. During my dream, an ostrich sized egg came slowly drifting from the abyss, floating into the "living room" pool, and the family decided to keep the egg in a warm "incubator" pool. The egg turned out to be a mermaid egg, but beyond that my memory was hazy.
Hi, we were that exact family. The egg eventually hatched, and my parents decided to raise the mermaid as my sister. Shes full grown now, she got married and she lives in Lawrence, KS now.
I once had a dream about an indoor pool the size of a football field and there were 2 stair cases on opposite ends that led to enclosed hallways where you could overlook the pool through a window. The pool was deep blue and the room was a hot pink color. There were 2 strangers playing in the pool and eventually they started floating around. It was so freeing, calm, and blissful feeling.
I had a reoccurring dream when I was little. I was in a little boat in a little man made waterway (very small) and would ride the boat forever. Then my dream would shift and I'd be standing in front of the map of the waterway. I would see where my boat was. Then it would flash and I'd be back on the never ending boat ride.

When I was 2, I had a dream where I was looking into a glass house, that held an Olympic pool. There were ladies dressed in swim suits. And they were diving into the pool from the diving board I remember, this was my very first bad dream. Cause in the pool, there was a saw toothed shark. The kind that look like they have a hedge trimmer for a face. What's crazy, is I confirmed this dream with my mom, cause in the dream, I remembered the car that took us there, And even described in detail the car to my mom. It was a car we used to have. When I was 2. I never forget this dream.
This is the setting of some of my dreams. Its weird honestly everyone is saying how this reminds them of a scary dream or brings them a feeling of anxiety but for me its a feeling of nostalgia mised with something else I cant quite describe, it feels like I'm outside of our universe and in my own infinite reality
It's weird isn't it? How can so many people share the same dreams? And it isn't just these pool dreams, I've heard other people talk about dreams such as all their teeth falling out, Or losing their Penis (worst dream ever) and I've had them dreams too, Amongst others. Makes me think of the Happy valley dream survey all over again. Lol
What are now called "liminal spaces" are something that I've had a strong emotional connection with my whole life. Seeing them suddenly become so recognized in the last couple years has been such a trip. I used to make lots of drawings and paintings of places like this and always thought I was so weird. I wanted people to feel the same thing I felt in places like these. I don't think everyone who's drawn to this stuff is necessarily feeling the same things, but I'm sure a lot of us are. They never scared me or freaked me out. I'm not sure exactly how they made me feel. Not joyful or warm or welcomed. But fascinated. I always had a thing for industrial zones, warehouses, parking garages, train stations at night when no one is there. I think it was like a vague combination of wanting to understand something that didn't have a clear purpose, being free to explore that vagueness with no one else around, but also free to apply my own meaning to them. I guess I also just loved the vaguely spooky atmosphere. Coming out of the 90s it's hard not to love a good abandoned industrial zone. Brutalist as fuck.
This is actually very calming. I would love to swim and chill here. I always saw this similar place/imagery in my dreams(?) when I was just little. To me, it was more blue-ish than green, basically it was a public pool resort, very big place kind of exactly like this, it had a bunch of those pillars and had one of those wallpapers for swimming pools around the walls and dolphin stickers in the floors and ceilings. There never came a time you would see more than 3-5 people in a room. I think the reason why we always dreamt of this place is because swimming is one of the first most joyful experiences we get to experience as a kid. I don't know psychology but I think when I was younger swimming used to make me feel so excited and happy. I think that's all you really needed to feel to make the best out of your childhood. The more I thought about swimming the more I dreamt about this place.

Yes keep the the pool rooms coming but don't throw in any monsters unless it's just a sound or maybe the slightest glimpse or water ripples because that keeps suspense. Also most monsters look like dog shit when created by amateurs so I wouldn't advise it
Would be good as just a shadow passing by in a hallway or something, footsteps, coughing maybe.. like sounds you’d hear in a populated water park except it’s like one or a few sounds are being isolated from it, and broadcasted to you somewhere a little ways off in another corridor
I think my only issue is how the water doesnt react to the person walking in it. You dont see any waves or ripples moving. I have no idea how you would render that easily, but thats my opinion!
Love this so much man! It all looks really good! I especially like the vibe that the dark room at 1:15 gives. Something about the seclusion and the mystery of it is really intriguing! Great work.
Here's my interpretation: The backrooms is the abyss. The space In between spaces, that is essentially the gaps between universes. Technically alive and technically near never ending, It exists to keep all dimensions together, like a glue. Alive in the sense that it can change its layout and looks. If the walls of a universe are forced enough by whatever means, then stuff gets through, and sucked in like a drain. It's levels look and present themselves differently depending on what historical era or place they were accessed by. When items, people or living matter get sucked in, (from mushrooms to entire buildings), the abyss adapts and generates itself to look similar. Async forced a doorway into the abyss and wanted to use it for retail and storage, not realising that the space is technically alive. Doing so, the areas around the portal are now starting to crack and cause clipping into the abyss, due to the strain portals cause on universes themselves. The elements and other forms of disease and matter in the abyss causes anything from plant life to dead matter to reanimate in different ways, hence the presence of entities, faceless ones or hounds. The abyss can be seen in dreams sometimes, which is not only the body's way of healing and making sense of higher cognitive evolution traits, but as a way of "feeding" itself to stay alive. Dreams give us a filter, however. We get to explore the abyss with a safety shield, that we can wake up from. Going into the backrooms in person, is a much more dangerous endeavour, and not recommended. It looks like it's man made, so that it can feed off our emotions, fear and atomic being itself. (The pool rooms is merely another form or level)
@@nickacunningham yeah, I have a lot of dreams that are extremely similar in landscape to the backrooms, and tend to have similar feelings and layouts. I thought it would be cool to incorporate that somehow. You're not physically there in dreams, more in a spiritual invisible form, that you dont remember upon waking.
Many people say this is calming but to me it's the complete opposite. I feel very uncomfortable and uneasy, it just gives me the shivers even looking at the video. I would be totally freaked out if I was there honestly

@@user-ig6yr8wf4o I think the opposite is true. Some few people have mental problems and traumas they need to get sorted out. What's wrong with being alone? What's wrong with water if you are a good swimmer? Why be so obsessed over "the unknown" if you have a sense of direction? How do you function in day to day life is the real question.
@@asteridfk Working on reducing your fear of the unknown could take some effort, learning to challenge yourself and expose yourself to new situations, gradually becoming bolder. But reducing your fear of water is an easy one, or least has an easy solution: swimming lessons! I write this with all the positivity and encouragement I can muster-- as someone who grew up around water, swam on a team, worked as a lifeguard-- learning to swim is one of the most important basic life skills that you can ever learn. If you comfortably master how to float, how to kick, how to tread water-- there will never again be a reason to fear a controlled environment like a swimming pool. And if you have dependents who look up to you and rely on you, instead of picking up on your fear, they will understand that they too can learn how to be comfortable in water. It's a gift you can give yourself and others. It literally saves lives every single day. You are never too old to learn how to swim! My dad taught my grandfather to swim when he was in his 50s. Overcoming fears can be tough work, but the feeling of comfort and security you can develop makes it so worth it. Good luck 🍀
Only recently I discovered that this was a thing on internet. I had good few dreams in childhood with these type pool rooms, strange corridors ankle level water connecting to submerged rooms and so on, never once I found these places spooky, Always felt welcome and at peace whenever I dreamed. I thought I was having unique one off dreams... seems not.
That’s so crazy. I don’t have pool dreams specifically. Mine are more industrial, hidden rooms and stairs of cement, maybe inside a giant overpass or power plant of some sort. And they’re beautiful. And they’re tragic. Sometimes horrific. Sometimes I stand in front of a hidden corridor or room and I know, I KNOW that unspeakable rage and hatred and chaos is there. But, it’s not dangerous. It’s just…wrath. And I know I’ll have to be engulfed by it. And God, I don’t want to. And I don’t know why I dream of these places. I’ve done it for years. Had one last night. Well, similar. It wasn’t as stark this time, it was actually filled with color…though that didn’t brighten the dream. It was in an old school, shadows down dark halls. Crude murals and drawings pasted to the hallway walls. Strange little places I maneuvered through of twisting, red pipes, the paint chipping off. I can barely ever explain the dreams. I can’t express the bizarre juxtaposition of comfort and despair and horror in these places. So crazy to find a whole community moved by imagery like this.
I used to have dreams of these types of places as a kid, and I always thought I was the only one who experienced these weird feelings towards these dreams/places
Beautifully made, and super "liminal". Should you take this series further, you're asking us in the description? Yes, sir. Please! How about an exploration of these dream pools at sunset?
I love it! The random and bizarre tunnels and rectangular holes really give it that "outside of reality" vibe. Reminds me of how many of us saw the drains and various holes/protrusions in pools, but never really knew what they were. That innate curiosity. Id add a few creepy looking drains/some more questionable empty spaces. But thats just me. Excellent work!
Ok. This is one of the most horrifying things I have ever seen! Even though the architecture is amazing, the huge pool, loneliness and the wee tunnels with dark areas terrified me beyond belief! I can imagine someone dying with no help around and they find their body after a long while! The stuff of nightmares. I can hardly swim and being alone in a closed space terrifies me, so this would be HELL to me personified! This seems so insidious and reminds me of a place like Sir Francis Drake's Hell Fire Club of modern times or something out of pizzagate about kids and strange parties. I am not a conspiracy theorist but who in their right mind would have a place like this for leisure! The smell alone can peel your lungs! Imagine cleaning this! 😬😱
This absolutely is bone chilling and I am the type who conjures satan in cemeteries at night while eating a ham sandwich. Walked dark hallways whistlin dixie when power went out in the nursing home. THIS POOL is fu***** horrifying.
