HOW TO REQUEST A TRICK:
1. Find a performance of a trick on RU-vid that you would like to see on my channel, or even film yourself performing the trick and upload it to RU-vid.
2. Copy that RU-vid link and go to the community page on my channel. (You have to be on a computer to go onto the community page, unfortunately it doesn’t show up on mobile devices)
3. Comment in the page: (whatever you want to say really... like “please teach this!” Or “I would love it if you revealed this!” Something like that.) Then PASTE the link to the performance in your comment.

Everybody complaing, that you spotted the 9 of clubs... I did too, but that's because most of us are magicians and pay attention to suits, people usually remember the color. Also you don't even have to show them, just have the soulmate there in case they said something like: "did you really put my card in there?" So you just flash the soulmate and go: "yeah, of course"

Here's an idea to make it more impromptu: Let them choose whatever card they want, place it face down on top, then you show the cards face up telling them to look that all the cards are different, but you are actually just looking for the card's soulmate to cull it to the top. Then perform a double lift showing the selected card and pretend to place it on the middle of the deck, but placing the soulmate instead.

That's a good idea! My idea to get rid of the force was to order the deck so every card is next to its soulmate. When the person picks a card, you cut there and move the soulmate to the top that way. Then, you can shuffle without the selected card in the deck, keeping the soulmate on top, and at some point show them the cards are different in case they are suspicious. Your idea is better in that you do not need to order the deck.

1. Grab the Jacks 2. Force 3♠️ on them 3. Flip over 3♣️ 4.Catch pinkie break 5. Turn wrist over 6. Put 3♠️ under 3♣️ 7. Double Lift 8. Put 3♣️ outjogged in middle of deck 9. Show off Jacks and catch pinkie break 10. Place Jack♦️ on 3♠️ 11. Insert Jack♥️ in break and grab all 3 cards 12. Perform!

I had to watch it 3 times, but I figured it out on my own. The first time I didn't actually know what the trick was, the second time I caught the 9 switching suits, and the third time I figured out when you switched the 9s and when one went between the jacks. Very nice trick!

BONUS TIP!!! the "soul mate fake" is really convincing with jumbo print bicycle decks. The color and number are at the top, and you can hide the suit with the deck >:)

My favorite way to do this is to put the card that’s not theres(9 ofclubs in the video ) in the middle and as I turn the deck over I push the the card in and slide their card on the top, as it’s tipped over no one would notice. Then rotating the deck back around slide the top card (9 of spades) back, THEN do the move sneaking their card into the two jacks, not necessarily the portal effect but same thing. Also just wanted to say I like the way you slide the jack under their card and the other jack it looks more authentic than the standard way many do it, never thought of that. Anyways sorry if this comment is read confusing I couldn’t quite type what I wanted to say into words that can be read fluent.

Another idea would be to use the 9 of clubs and the 6 of clubs. I think most people tend to confuse the 6 and the 9 much more than spades and clubs. But other than that its a really nice visual trick! Thank you for sharing!

This is a great trick. But if you can make a video where you explain the force shuffles, or having the spectator choose a card and you make the card they choose the one you want to use for the trick. That’d be great. Once again great trick!

Should have used the 8 of Spades to represent the 9 of Spades. You can even partially cover the "8" with your thumb when you turned the deck face up. Or you can use the 9 and 8 of Clubs...it is more effective, especially if you are performing for those spectators who "watch every step".

I thought I was following along in the first half of the performance, but you honestly fooled me when you flashed me the soulmate, the effect worked, I didn't even think it was the soulmate...I also was assuming it was free choice, I didn't know the card was supposed to be forced until the tutorial. Good job.

This effect is better if it's a free choice. Take out the "portal cards", then let the spectator actually choose their own card face up. Take the deck back while they're signing and set up the pinky break on the bottom, which can be with any card. Then the rest of the trick works the same way. It's far less likely that the average spectator will notice the pinky break. Flipping the deck over to show the wrong card is far more risky, and using a duplicate like other people said doesn't leave the deck clean.

The BEST part of this channel is that he cares/thinks enough to make the EFFORT to shoot OVER-THE-SHOULDER during tutorials when it matters! I’ve seen the vast majority of tutorial magicians (some w thousands & millions more subs) shoot ONLY from the spec POV 😖 It’s AWFUL, especially when it’s a DL you’ve PAID for. ** SHOOT OVER THE SHOULDER, like THIS KID! ** /end rant ✌️

While they are writing, you can turn the card with the same hand by using your thumb. When you get the card back, do a quick double lift. They will not notice.

Instead of turning the top card over to get the selected card second from top, you can also do a double lift from the middle of the deck You couldn‘t do the convincer, but it‘s a bit less risky to do

Not sure if this going to work.. noticed both the wrong 9(clubs not spades and the double lift and put the jack under 9.. But again. I only notice these things because this channel learned me so.. without this I would probably just notice the wrong suit :D your sleight of hand is really good and solid.

Yeah exactly! You can use duplicates if you want, but you wouldn't end up clean. Just flash the 9 in the deck super quickly, and trust me its easy to see on video because you can go back and watch it again. But in real life its different!

I caught it the first time round. You could use a double off the top, since that has never failed me in this routine. I also have several other methods to this that do not require duplicates. Good trick, none the less. I would make a tutorial on my method, but, my channel isn't about my magic :-)
