I thought Shchindlers List was very surface. It lacked the proper depth in many, many scenes. A scene can be built with pacing, dialogue, music, emotion, close-ups, etc. Spielberg lacks talent in these areas. The best poignant scene in Schindlers List was the end/last scene where the groups of people walked in a line through the memorial area which was beautiful, deep, emotional, and shot beautifully. Robert (Bob) Zemekis is a director who is very good at depth in his movies. Depth that can transform you(If you take it seriously). Flight, Contact, and Cast Away had so much depth to them. Oliver Stone's World Trade Center (made in 2006) is relentless on an emotional level. The only way to describe the film is "A true story of Courage and Survival". And no it was not a "political" film I love E.T., Gremlins, Poltergeist, etc. Which I think as a producer or director Speilberg does Very well. But with more serious material he lacks a deep Depth for alot of the serious scenes in his films. Hopefully Speilberg let the reigns loose on Meryl Streep in this film so she can do her thing. 😊

But equally have the right to speak her mind as you would. She speaks in her circle and so does everyone.
