This song has hit me like no other song has ever. I'm 52 years old. I can't believe that I heard this song two days ago and it's already my favorite song ever!

even now, TWENTY years later, this song is still my mood most of the time. I remember listening to this cruising down the slopes in the colorado mountains, sun shining, wind burning my face, smile never wavering. I've become a bit more of a cynic now, and the lyrics resonate in a different way, but I'll be damned if I don't roll down my window and sing this at the top of my lungs on my drive home. truly one of the most formative albums of my life.

I kept playing this song over and over again when my grandpa's time had come... couldn't let go... still gets me everytime... I played it at his funeral... he always loved the taste of music I was into... love you grandpa...

This song became a lot more potent to me as a man who knows much more about the harsh realities of the world, I thought this was one of the lesser songs of the Give Up album when I first listened to it as a 10 year old boy but the vibe of wishing for a simpler reality where the people are just a little more gentle is now relatable.

Honestly, this is the best song about depression of all time for me. I'd go as far to say this is the official Depression Anthem. Emotionally triumphant even in the sensitive, quiet, solemn loneliness. Yes, it's anthemic, and beautifully so.

A lot of emotional attatchment to this song. Still as great as the day I first heard it, over a decade ago.

God. First I heard this it was around 2010-2011. This brings back such nostalgia. Good lord, a decade has passed without me noticing. Holy hell...

Zoey Evans it's Mark. I haven't forgotten you and I treated you wrong, and you didn't deserve it, and I never forgot this band because of you. I remember all of those countless nights alone in your room listening to this and getting high. I should've treated you much better.. but that's the thing about life, it often gives you the test first and the lesson after. I was abused neglected and totally damaged and that's not an excuse I just want you to know why I didn't know how to act.

I remember my sister used to play this kind of music whenever I rid in her car with her. It was always a pleasant memory for me.

2017 and still Sleeping In

instantly the best song I've heard in years

I was a mormon missionary. Quite miserable but getting by. We were not supposed to listen to any pop music but this was one of the songs / albums that just got a pass. I listened to this song and other songs on this album a hundred times and it really helped me get by day after another.

Wish they had done more cd's. But this one we got is full of gems. Found it ironic that they got used for UPS (I think could be wrong) ads. So package delivery company used a band called the postal service.

I love all of their songs, but this one is my favorite. I love how it addresses the real world and I wish I could just sleep in.

this song plays in my head and reminds me of everything i've lost and everything i still have if only barely. i'm not sure why. it makes me happy and sad and it makes me cry from both more times than not. i wish things were as they should be.

This whole album reminds me of my ex gfs moms bedroom. Idk why we did this but we would sleep in her moms bed pretty regularly because her mom was a night nurse and was pretty much never home. We were like 15/16 years old and both had really fallen into this album. It was a cool time in life that I’ll definitely think about periodically with positive feelings. It’s just funny that this record is anchored down in my mind by a big ass bed with a fancy wooden frame.
