This is a very interesting position where 3 connected pawns prove to beat one bishop, even with an inactive king.
This study was composed by Hermanis Mattison in 1925.

Got the first move at each stage and sometimes the next. The variations, then became a bit difficult. Basically, it wasn't too hard to figure out how to stop black breaking up the pawn structure to take the pawns piecemeal but it wasn't easy to see the stalemate traps a few moves ahead.

Excellent study by the great composer Hermanis Mattison. The key move 1.e5-e6 is obvious.

Yeah that is a better move because you don't even lose your second pawn. Promoting the e file pawn becomes unstoppable. Of course white wins either way.
