Seriously, this tutorial is the BEST one I've ever watched and I've watched many. I think one of the main reasons I love this video (and I imagine many people will agree!) is your positive attitude! I tried the lipstick under my eyes (as you mentioned in your tutorial NOT to do!) and omg that was a disaster to me! So, your technique makes so much more sense! Thank you, Airah!!
I have bags, too and like many other people who also has them, it has absolutely *nothing* to do with stress, diet or getting *not enough* sleep. They are hereditary and the only way to truly eliminate them is surgery. I used to *hate* when people would say "Oh but you'd be SO much prettier IF you smile!" OR teachers/people would tell me or say that I wasn't getting enough sleep when I was! I know the personal pain of having them but it's nice to see that at least temporarily, there is a solution other than those creams that work to tighten the skin under the eyes that (for me) doesn't work.
I tried other creams to reduce my puffy eyes as well and I feel like they don't work either.. The only thing that seems to work for me is cold compress first I wash my eyes with cold water then I used my eye gel to moisturize my under eye area but I have the gel placed in the fridge all the time so when I apply it its nice and cool plus the metal tip helps as well.. I have a new video love targeting the problem of looking tired and fatigue pls check it out when u have a chance it's a lot simpler than this one 😊
Petty Patty those eye creams do not work for me either! I have hereditary eye bags as well! And the only way to truly get rid of them is surgery indeed! But I am fortunately cannot afford that kind of surgery! I also have purchased the makeup items in this video to cover my eye bags but unsuccessfully it does not work for me either!
4 years since i published this video and still get all the love messages from you guys! THANK YOU! Keep spreading LOVE not just to this video but to thers that may need it. I'll be back in youtube in due time. Thats a promise!
My first time watching today 12/21/21 . Sharing w/ my daughter who’s a makeup artist. One of her clients eyes are extremely baggy. So glad to have searched & your came up first 🙌🏾
Girl, I just saw this video today, 7 years later, and I plan to try this out! Thanks for sharing your tips. Have had puffy eyes for years and they're so embarrassing for me. Wish I knew what eye gel you used, because I'm stumped on that, but I loved the video and I'm saving it in my makeup tutorial list.
It was really encouraging to read all the comments from other people who struggle with this. It was really getting me down. I never used to have these bags as severely as I do now, but it’s clear they’re not going anywhere. Thank you so much ❤️
I hate my eye bags! I tried sleeping on pillows, using nasal spray for allergies, etc...but most of it is hereditary. Thank you for a great tutorial, I am trying it this afternoon! You are so gorgeous, please post more vids. :-)
Thank you for including the list of products you used with the "More Information" option. You have acquired a master's level in make-up application. Thanks again!
I have hereditary bags underneath my eyes and I've actually just started using the same method for my makeup to minimize them (ie. highlighting and setting) and I notice a huge difference in my face. Glad to see that I'm on the right track! And thanks for breaking it down step by step :)
2019: i've been watching tons of tutorials on "how to hide your eye bags and dark circles." After watching this...I am totally encouraged to embrace, not hide who I am. I am 56. That's right, 56 and still young. I need to work on being "SIMPLY HAPPY! 😃
I am 55 and this is the very FIRST time I've seen a video that really addresses this issue. I do have stress and allergies and have a thyroid issue that causes my dark circles and bags. Thank you so much!! You've just increased my self confidence 1000%!!
Thank you for this video. I appreciate real people doing tutorials instead of twenty year old models with already flawless skin. You demonstrated a sincere solution.
I am amazed at how well you’ve done what you said you’d do! I used to do theatrical make up & know bags can be hidden but it’s been years since I did that kind of make up & was looking for a tutorial that 1. Worked, 2. Used modern products & 3. Used cruelty free products. Thank you for checking all three boxes! And an extra bonus is that you have my skin color so your choices of color are excellent for me. Thank you!! I’ve subscribed. ❤️👍🏼🙌🏼
This is such a useful video thank you so much! I suffer from very puffy hereditary bags under my eyes and am extremely self conscious of them. I feel like it makes me look so tired and a lot older, even with makeup on they seem to catch the light in an unflattering way. Definitely going to be trying the techniques you used in this video, you're a life saver!!
I like her honesty. Notice that she didn't say she does it to "complement" her natural beauty. She said she transforms her face into something different. I can respect that. She doesn't fool herself.
This is the only video I saw results from as I am Latina, 78 years old, with puffy eyes and not too many wrinkles. This gave me more insight as to the products needed and how to put on the skincare and makeup. Looking forward to more tutorials. Thank you.
Airah..Even though you are naturally beautiful, the eye bags are just part of being normal. I've tried all kinds of eye bag remedies, including the ones you've graciously shared. However, the real trick is...lighting. I noticed two different uses of lighting in your vid. In your before photo, you are in natural light which emphasizes all the shadows. In your after photo, you are in white light that reflects off the skin. They use this technique in television for the tired show hosts and news people. While the makeup does help some, lighting is very important! Thanks for your video! You did a great job!
Great observations! Yes the after photo's exposure is def higher than the before.. It was taken a year before this video 😊☺️ on the after photo on the video tho the exposure stayed the same the white balanced is in automatic so it adjust to the highlights on my face it's true tho lighting is everything.. Thank you so much for watching hun xox
I’m so grateful I came across your video! I am getting ready for work and I needed a quick and simple video to understand how to hide my bags and dark circles. I’m a cosmetologist and I understand the bases and steps of makeup but I wanted to understand the why so I can apply these techniques to different clients with different skin textures and face shapes! You did an amazing job explaining, showing us the before and afters, and showing us a more affordable brand that we can suggest to clients! You’re awesome!
Thank you so much for this video I been through so many makeup tutorials just to find how to conceal eye bags without caking so much makeup under eye bags
Hey sweetie i had the same bags and I had a ophthalmologist remove some fat that accumulates in that area... is called a lower blepharoplasty is a walking in procedure. And it worked like magic... I know that not all bags can be a candidate for that procedure, but just sharing what I did. And I still conceal because the darkness will always be present. Loved the video 😊😉.
Thank you Thank you... Because of my lifestyle, I was having these puffy eyes which made me look older than I am.... Everyone used to point out... What happened.... why are you looking like you cried? All makeup failed, But You saved me... literally you saved me.... I used to bake and my eyes used to look older..... I tried your technique today and I cannot tell you how amazed I was.... My eyes looked less puffed and fines lines were invisible. Thank you.
I'm so glad o cam across this video. I've been struggling with under eye bags my whole life. I watch so many makeup tutorials but I never feel like my makeup turns out right because of my under eye bags. Now that I've seen this I know exactly what to do!
By the way when you apply your eye cream try patting the serum in instead of rubbing it. That skin is incredibly delicate so if you feel like you've already got bags or dark circles using any rubbing motion whatsoever isn't going to improve the situation. Friction doesn't fully allow the product to sink into the pores where its going to be the most useful either, instead it actually sort of pushes it out. You're still going to experience an effect(s) but dabbing or patting assures a much more gentle and effective penetration method and it's kinder to your eyes. :)
OMGGGG THIS IS THE FIRST EYEBAG COVER UP THAT WORKS. I'M SOCIETY for EXCITED IM RUNNING TO GET SALMON COLOR CORRECTOR. AND THIS IS THE FIRST RU-vid WITH SOMEONE HAS REAL EYEBAGS LIKE ME!!!! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU I WILL NOW SUBSCRIBE AND FOLLOW YOU!!!!
Your video helped me the most compared to others; I also appreciate the way you were genuinely real, encouraging, and gave good reminders. I've been very depressed about major events in my life, and while bags showing under my eyes is trivial next to big problems, let's just say that looking a little better will boost my spirits a bit. Thank you and you are beautiful with a unique look.
Thank you, im maybe away from youtube but comments like this makes my heart smile. Your beautiful! Bags and all! Always remember that... and i hope everything goes well for you. Keep an always positive thoughts and wear a smile.. godbless xox
I always have trouble with bags, dark circles. i have bad allergies, I'm a night Shift worker, and I when in a casino. so I'm always trying to improve my face. but lately nothing helps. I'll try some of these tips. thank you
Try finding thee right skin care products that works for you first if you haven't already. The facial cleanser, the toner (optional I think), the moisturizer - all of those must be undoubtedly right for your skin; otherwise what you put on top will not work or just be hella difficult...and still look 👎🏾.
Thank you thank you thank you!!! Also, you are absolutely gorgeous with or without makeup. As a now 35 year old coming to grips with aging, this is a lifesaver! Subscribed!!!!
Best makeup tutorial I've seen for consealing under eye bags. I like the natural look. You are a truly talented makeup artist! You didn't pile on tons of products to get expert results.
Very Interesting, Thank you! I'm not familar with makeup but you make it look so easy and end with a Beautiful outcome. Also thanks for giving us the makeup info. 👌
awww thank u so much for watching love becoming crueltyfree influencer is one of the best life changing decision i've ever done in my 6 yr mua career :)
Hi Airah, Filipina here, I have been watching your video on how to conceal my massive eye bag but it does not look any better like yours. I end up frustrated after even I follow your step by step tutorials. But you inspires me a lot. I will keep on trying!!
Thank you soooo much for explaining step by step on how to conceal and highlight the eye area. You have been the only one that has made a tutorial so easy to understand and follow.
Love your video just found you and subscribed. I Love your honesty I am an upcoming ARTIST and trully your vídeos are Realty helpful! Thank you so much!
Vincent2wice we do makeup because it's an art form, yes some don't do so and make themselves as "un natural as possible" but this beautiful woman heightened her already gorgeous features. :) this is art
You have changed the way I look and feel... I started wearing my glasses daily to hide my bags. I had never tired LA girl concealer as I was sure it was going to be horrid... WRONG. It's the bomb! I now don't hide behind a pair of glasses. Thank you so much for the tips!
Ellie Humphris you just gave me an idea, I wear glasses too when I don't feel like doing my makeup on a regular basis. I will be doing a no makeup makeup for people who wear glasses 😊
+pcking2008 its not letting me reply to your comment directly, anyways, have u tried a cc cream? its basically color correcting cream. It targets all problem areas without the look of heavy makeup. Hope this helps..
The first time I've actually seen someone conceal those bags. I have those bags..fat pockets that I cannot for the life of me conceal...well I've gotten that panda look as well. The only thing I have not stuck to is using the color concealer. I will have to try that again. I also make my own makeup which goes on differently. The very best non chemical makeup out there is Omiana. I'm 58...and your eyes look like mine, meaning there is hope for me!!! You're gorgeous. Wonderful job, thank you.
your make up is amazing. I'm light skinned have you any tips as nearly 57 and hooded eyes and dark circles due to ill health any help really appreciated xxxx😊😊😊
Jessica Gomez thank you i have the reality in mind when I film this video. I wanted to recreate my "makeup routine" in realest possible way because some people can't afford buying concealers every month like me lol
Try using concealer right under your bags (in the shadows of them) and blend upwards to the eyelids with a damp beauty blender. The key is to not put concealor directly on the bags.
I'll re-watch your video again. But seems if I put anything on top of the bags, it just makes my lines more pronounced and it looks like a tic-tac-toe board! I've given away the Ben Nye in the mean time. I'll take a look at your video again but my bags look like yours. Your look stunning!
Thank you soooo much!!!! I usually wear glasses because I don't know how to conceal properly. I will follow these steps and feel more confident with my look! Thank you!
thank you everyone for watching this video. If yout think this video helped u in some way, can i ask to pay it forward? I have a pay it forward campaign that i want you guys to know this is the link goo.gl/FVeaxc and no its not virus i promise, also no my account is not hacked it is me posting this. I believe in good karma thats i like to help other people as much as possible whether through my videos or through my other social media. Help me spread the good news as well.. God bless xox
For anyone reading: if you're going to use a lipstick/lipgloss to color correct make it's safe for the area you're putting it on (assuming it's not your lips).
LaShonda Buskey hi babe if ur dark circle is dark like mine try to correct them with orange base corrector first then conceal it with a shade lighter than your natural skin concealer.
+Cherry Brown holy crap mid 50's? thats half of my age! lol either where you from people in their 50's looks really young or your perception of being "old" is way off. LOL
+airahmorena08 O.k...just to put this into perspective I did ask some of my work colleagues and friends today to guess your age...they said minimum age of 48...so perhaps I did slightly exaggerate....sorry!
Wow, that's an amazing difference. Can't afford to go out and buy all those products. Don't think they are even available where I live but I have such a mountain of makeup I think I can improvise. Can't wait to try it and see if I can get rid of the suitcases under my eyes lol. Thanks so much.
