Jesus has been given authority to execute judgment, because He is the Son of Man. (see John 5:27)
The justice we want and that this world needs will never be realized apart from the promised coming of the “Son of Man.”
Like the persistent widow, we are longing for the One who redeemed us to ultimately right all wrongs. We are longing for Him to finally liberate this world from the presence and the devastating effects of sin.
