The 2502 puts out less than rated by a bit, look up the measurements on audio science review, still a very good amplifier

I would disagree and think you mischaracterized his rating by alot. Over all he says that he " "recommends this amplifier" and it power rating is higher than listed. There were a few aspects that's were mentioned that he felt were lower in standard but his overall rating was positive not negative. He was a bit disappointed by high output but all my videos were based on subwoofer bass. I've never used it for mids or highs so I have no input in those 2 areas. When it comes to bass I beat the hell out of all my crowns xls amps and rarely if ever does the cooling fan turn on.

@@DNDCarandHomeTheateraudio on the page you can clearly see 4 ohms, 480w both channels driven which is sustainable power, not 775 as claimed, then at 1 percent 661.4 per channel, which isn't sustainable. Then the Peak power rating, cool but not as important. Then he did a stress test and it throttled during the stress test. A good Amp, but is overrated in it's realistic power output.

@analogaudiorules1724 Have you actually used this amplifier for 6 and 8 hours at a time? I have at full tilt and as I have said they has never failed me. Never had to swap out an xls amp at a party once. If it is or isn't a sustainable 775w I couldn't honestly tell you because I don't own the an amp dyno or any other equipment to measure. I do have a umik-1 and have tested hundreds of sub to compression effortlessly with few activations of the cooling fans. I can tell you that at very loud volumes as my subwoofer amplifier powering 2 3000w 12" subs it has been nothing less than absolutely 💯 % reliable for hundreds of hours over the last 3 years. So much so that I've purchased all four models. As you know from the channel for at least the last 3 years they have been my favorite amp with over 250 videos, thousands of hours of movies and parties as well as 3 or 4 hundred of my own subwoofer builds tests. I've done I've had no issues at all. You both feel that it doesn't do what the stats claim it does. You both may be correct but my point is as I'm making my videos it does more than I expected for the $ to $ value. Could I find a better quality amp? Yes most definitely but why would I when all 4 models have been flawless for almost 4 years. Most people make claims not doing one quarter of what I put my amps through. I'm just putting out there my outstanding experience with these amps and just like the review that he asked me to read I'm saying I agree with him that I would also recommend this amp to anyone because most people that buy this amp won't do punish the amp even half as much as I do but will be more than pleased with its performance.

@@DNDCarandHomeTheateraudio Yeah these are good amps to and I also wasn't trying to dig at you or hurt your feelings man, I just wish crown would rate these babies like they used to back in the day with the original macrotech series, d series or the k2 erra stuff, comtech or even the mid 90's powerbase amplifiers, when you compare the user manual of a old school crown d150a or a top class crown macrotech, the details in the specs show how much they used to care. They used to rate them conservative at around 0.1 percent thd or less at rated power from 20hz to 20khz both channels driven, for continuous power for extended periods right below clipping, no thermal issues or loud speaker impedance curve frequency response dependence. An older Amp like that fully restored is truly amazing. The dampening factor on some units were easily 5000 at 20hz! Imagine the tight low end you'd get from your subs and a nice active crossover, like a dbx 234s That said the closest thing to those old babies or even the old school lab gruppen stuff or the oldschool crest CA series today is the qsc rmxa series amplifiers that you can still get today. I love these crowns as by today's standards they and especially qsc are pretty much the last mainstream easily accessible to buy brands left. I just wish these xls amps were made like how crown used to make them. I have a 1002 and a few others that I am pleased with overall... But one day brother, try to get an active crossover and a crown k2! Or a oldschool macrotech or a crest CA series!
