Seeing the number of South African names in the comments makes me so so happy. A lot of the time people around me don't understand why I'm obsessed with African history, ancient cultural practices & spirituality. My people have woken up, our ancestors must be celebrating. Thank you sista for the info.
Positive words. How are you able to recognize the names are S African? I want to be able to distinguish as well. I also just found I am from the Temne Tribe of Sierra Leone
i agree... i got into spirituality a few years ago and i started to realise that actually some of the things i was practicing was maybe cultural appropriation and from other cultures and so now i am trying to restart by incorporating more African spirituality in my practice
Ancient Egyptians were not Black, they were Middle Eastern. Modern genetics has shown that Ancient Egyptians did not have any sub-saharan genes at all... they were closer genetically to modern day Levant people (Lebanon, Syria, Iraq etc). Therefore Ancient Egyptians were not your ancestors.... and they are very far from South Africa...
I work at a black owned spiritual store and I hear a lot from black clients that they don’t see enough of black history, African spiritual practice and meanings resources. It’s very true, most information online you see comes from Wiccan/Pagan/European practices and meanings. I can’t wait to refere people to your channel, there’s such an abundance of rich resources in your videos! Thank you so much!🤍
Im getting the ankh tattoo on my right hand to remind that life is worth living i had delt with alot of suicide thoughts i even wrote a suicide note all those thoughts are gone now i was really considering ending my life but now im going to live the ankh is a symbol of life to remind me to life is worth it
In my recent studies, I discovered the Ankh in the Emerald Tablets where it is used as protection while in this plane of existence upon returning from any "out of body" experience (such as dreams or meditation). It states, "When thou hast entered the form thou hast dwelt in, use thou 'the Cross and the Circle combined', open thy mouth and use thou thy Voice, utter the Word and thou shalt be free."
I have never been a firm believer in terms of religion and spirituality, but lately I’ve been feeling connected to the Ankh and I can’t explain it. I’m half black and grew up in mostly white spaces but after owning my identity and rekindling my relationship with my family, I came across the Ankh and feel so much happier. So many people say they feel drawn to certain parts of spirituality and I never understood it til now. Thank you for explaining this
Ancient Egyptians were not Black, they were Middle Eastern. Modern genetics has shown that Ancient Egyptians did not have any sub-saharan genes at all... they were closer genetically to modern day Levant people (Lebanon, Syria, Iraq etc). If you feel a connection to the Ankh then by all means wear it and connect to it, but you do not need to be Black to wear it. The info in this video is wrong.
@@Corbeauxx your statement is false Ancient Egyptians were and still are a mixed raced NORTH AFRICAN people not Middle Eastern. Arabic wasn’t spoken in ancient Egypt.
@@Yaruandromedano1111The Ankh was never meant for one race of human! I can't believe people actually believe the Ankh is just for black people. So so ignorant and so gross!
😂🙈 it’s also because they don’t teach us any of this stuff in school. And all this information is our birthright. We deserve to know who we are. 🙏🏾 thank you for watching💖🌸
Yes it symbolizes life I have it tattooed on me the upper portion represents the woman's womb the lower portion the man's shaft the energy flowing from left to right or right to left is the Most High intersecting the Spirit between the two ✌ Namaste 🙏 and love to everyone

Wow this was so beautiful. Thank you for the education. I too, thought that the cross was modeled after the Ankh. I'm first generation American and happy to see a fellow African delving into more of the ancient practices of the African continent. More power to you.
This is an extraordinarily insightful message about the venerable ankh. Sister, thank you for sharing in such a down to earth way that is precious and uniquely rare, beautiful and dignified. You do the ancestors proud. May "The Most High" shower you with the best of blessings always. Again, "thanks."
@Chris Goguen were all entitled to live different lives. I can not persuade anyone to change their lives. Do your own research Chris and if it resonates go with if it doesn’t let it fly 🪰

Woooooww! That was awesome 👍 I love it. Im from Egyptian country in North Africa my favorite Ankh My Favorite Ankh Symbolism of Ancient Egyptian Mythology. Kemetism and Nubians. The Ankh Created by "AFRICANS" long ago, the ankh is said to be the first--or original--cross. The ankh is often shown in the hands of important Egyptian Amulet and Gold Necklace The Key of life and by mother of WOMB 💞💞🇪🇬🇪🇬🇪🇬🇪🇬🌍💕💕💞💓

Thank you for presenting in such a thorough manner. Great job!! I juat wanted to add that all symbols do in fact have corresponding meanings. Because of the that, all symbols can be traced to Ausarian, (Ausar/Osiris) principle, all is one. In the same way that the Ankh is misunderstood, so too is the cross. The cross can represent the crossing over from the spiritual to the physical by which melanin is the transducer which facilitates the crossing (rhe DAATH, DAS or sometimes DARTH), the crossing over from the practice of having wise Heru mind control your world vs false unwise judgements and the effects of error thinking, the crossing out of all negative aspects of self which must be CRUCIFIED or they will CRUCIFY you, among other correspondances ... Peace.
