Lost the joy of my days, my ten year old cockapoo Hemingway, 18 days ago. This poem speaks for me. As does the pain in your voice. Thank you for reading this.
I've been crying everyday . He was the only one always by my side for 17 years. Iiss him terribly. Thank you for this for I will not ever be able to replace him and so hope he is waiting for me in heaven.
I know, I know. I’m going with the hope that all of our furry ‘best friends’ are there waiting for us on ‘the other side’. - if I’m wrong, please don’t tell.
To Answer that Question: We Give Our Hearts to a Dog( to Tear ) because, Our Hearts Grow Strength from The Beauty and Ugliness of Life. But, unlike a Human Being, a Dog’s Love to You is As Clear as a Summer Day; No Deceit, No Ulterior Motives. In This Life, There is Nothing More Beautiful, or More Worthy of Sacrificing Your Heart for.
So bittersweet! I just lost my 13 year old boxer/pit rescue two months ago. Now it is I that needs to be rescued. I am so lonely and heartbroken without him. 😞🙏🏼❤️🐕🦺🐾🐾🌈

I’m crying while listening to this , I just lost my last doxie, Pepper 17, pn 3-1-24. It hurts to lose a pet . Why do we keep getting another to love , when we know it will rip our hearts out , I don’t know the answer . I do know I love to have a dog to love . I’ve had seven over the years and it ripped my heart out every time i lost one. I’ve loved everyone of them with all my heart. 🥲
God gave us many species of canine but the dog was our making. I think as I have my best friend laying next to me that dogs may be the only thing of real value that mankind has created.
