"I've missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I've lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I've been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I've failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed." - Michael Jordan In other words, you're right, it's Lebron's failure over the years that has made him the amazing player he is now.

He has also won a championship and completely dominated in last years play-offs when there was TONS of pressure on him (45 points, 15 boards, 5 assists in game 6 for example). That takes mental toughness and that is just as clutch as hitting a game winning shot.
@vishyvikranth
@vishyvikranth 11 лет назад
When you think about it, guys like Lebron, TP, CP3 need to have not just the ability to stay calm under pressure to make their own shot in the clutch like Kobe, Durant, Melo etc. but they also need to make a choice whether to create for others. There is a reason they are called the Floor Generals on their team, these guys can create plays for their team, not just run the plays created by the coaches (which are none-the-less exciting and tough to execute). Peace.

It was thanks to that focus that he was able to overcome that and become the best player in the NBA today. He aleady proved he can get over the loss and become better.

Tell me how you came to that conclusion. Judging by LeBron's insane play off performance last season to lead the Heat to the title while having tons of hate and pressure thrown his way, he seems like a pretty mentally tough player to me.

hes been kinda clutch lately shooting crucial jumpers against kings, near the end of double over time to give a win shooting a crucial 3 pointer against grizzlies to give them a lead that will give them a definite win

The mental game is the hardest aspect of basketball that I have not come close to mastering yet, Im only 18 years old Australian player but im determined to make it to the highest level. Its just the mental game that i cant overcome yet. I dont know why..

true, but let them hate lebron says he doesn't care about what people say and if you can think your immature words can ruin how he plays obviously michael jordan didn't. MJ said he would take kobe over lebron and I don't know if that affected him cause he is playing at the highest level of his career so let them hate he is going to be top 10 when he is done his career. the people that hated him will just hate themselves

People who dont think Joakim Noah is one of the top centers in the league right now are idiots. people hate him for his looks, why?!? His a basketball player it doesn't matter how he looks its how he plays that matters. He is recording a double-double, two triple doubles this year, played in the all star game, and is helping the bulls win without rose. If you hate Joakim Noah for his looks then you shouldn't be watching basketball.

I would say all this multiplied when they lost the finals in 2011, he could have rolled over in bed all day after that defeat and gave into all the hate and criticism, but he came back next season stronger and better both mentally and physically, now through all the trials and tribulations of the 2012 playoffs and some memorable performances, Lebron can finally sit back and call himself a NBA champion, the question now is does he have enough strength mentally to fight for a second title???

Getting the better shot instead of forcing a bad shot is clutch. Lebron taking higher percentage shot in the clutch is better than taking lower percentage shots. Kobe own fault for taking bad shots.

I don't see you taking the amount of criticism and hate that he has to deal with every day and still keeping your sanity. Imagine what that would be like to have millions of people hating you. That would take some mental strength don't you think?
@vishyvikranth
@vishyvikranth 11 лет назад
Most of the players you have noticed in the video above are playmakers for their team: Lebron, TP, CP3 etc. and then shot blockers like Tyson Chandler. These guys have to make the crucial decisions on the floor, whether to go for the shot or create for others; whether to go for the block risking a foul and one or just contest the shot or play in the case of a defender. Unlike guys like Kobe, Durant, Melo and that chuckster Westbrook who have only one thing in their mind: Chuck no-matter-what.

I love your logic, first you say he has a terrible mid-range game but then in the very next sentence you go on to say he will only have his three point shot. That makes sense to you?? There's a difference between being a streaky shooter and not being able to shoot, LeBron is the former out of those 2 so stop spewing that nonsense.

@joeyvidrine2249

Lebron is or poss could be the 1 & only player EVER & forever to be capable to be avg a TRIPLE DOUBLE! I think with the rt players & after a few more yrs when he won't have to score more than say 20pts,, he'll be getting his 10 assist & w/ more effort on boards cam avg 2 mor Rebs. Hell he's a 30, 7.8, & 8 avg now. Jordan was a 30+, &rt @ 6 & 6! Bron has the size to go get 10rebs a Gm & w/ less pressure to score w/ younger shooters later he can get extr 2 assist & still get 22-24pts at age of 3
