I've had mine for about a year now and really love it. Its definitely the best pocket friendly gamer since the Gameboy Micro. The slower D-pad takes some getting used to, but it isn't a deal breaker. If I could only get an Atari 2600 emulator on it so I could play Chopper Command (as the GBA and PS1 roms for that game don't work) it'd be almost perfect.
Well, isn't THAT special?? 👵 The lozenge adds character to your review, I couldn't help but wonder what a Retro Church Lady review might sound like... But for a fair take & nice overview of the Model S/A66 here, yeah I think the good outweighs the "bad" here... Same as the Retromini, it gets "urgH tiNY!!!" comments & yeah it's not like you could compare holding this to an RG350, or Retroid Pocket.. But they're neat, and surprisingly capable devices! If you have either, or, the A66 and Retromini both have had lots of community support put in, and fix most of the bugs that are glaring & enhances other features too.. Well worth the lil bit of time, and I hope you melt away/enjoy many hours of playing these!! I figure, if people are paying $250 about, for the FunKey S, and the Game Gear Mini... These are still bigger than either, and lots more fun, you get what you put in! PS1 Games are working, at least 2D or earlier games... Gex, Mega Man, Harvest Moon, there's some hit or miss, but as to be expected even on higher quality handhelds. I'm not heartbroken, missing 3d games on a 2 inch screen... I'd say, results are gonna vary on your playing, SMS may work better using files you know work... Hope you feel better, sooner, and yeah, the battery can be surprising too! Here's hoping it all plays up smoother, and looking forward to more videos!
