@@virescentmorsmordre9568 Well, wars have violence, but Makarov was doing so much damage that he caused World War III, I don't think Yuri would imagine something like that.
I am kinda cringing when i see comments like this. Like i love gaming and stuff like that, i myself have some favorite characters that i really love and think about a lot, but then again, isnt this disrespectful towards the soldiers that actually die in wars and no one remembers those? Most of them anyway. Like i get your comment, i am not trying to be pain in the ass or anything, i just dont know where to put my head on this topic, because i have it the similar way, like Mafia - Tommy Angelo and few others. but i dont know whether thats good or not.
@@m00tes whats wrong with that. You dont know them. Yes all due respect to them but we dont know them. With these characters we kinda do even if they are not real.
@@0subsWith0vidsChallenge You have to know a person in order to be grateful for what he has done? Thats kinda delusional, just like when someone saves someone from dangerous situation, they dont have to know to to save them, i help bunch of people daily, as a cop, i dont know majority of them, they dont know me neither but they are grateful i hope at least. Like it doesnt make any sense mate, lot of people died so we can choose how we want to live today. That wasnt always the case.
@@m00tes when did I say that? I said all respect to them. I just said that its hard to miss someone you never knew. Gratefulness and missing someone is different
8:51 Cool little detail most might not notice after Price rests the pistol on Soaps chest he removes Soaps Journal and his Dog Tags that you see in the opening cutscene for the next Mission
@@xXLesterGamingXx youre misunderstanding. End of CoD4 Price slides Soap a pistol to kill Zakhaev during the extract price is thought KiA. When you rescue Price from the gulag in MW2 Soap returns the pistol to Price saying "this belongs to you"
this will forever be the saddest moment in COD history. From "What kind of name is Soap anyway?" to screaming in pain at his death and leaving him that signature 1911
Very impressive that they built the map to look just like that area of Prague, itself. You can see the monument to Jan Huss multiple times at the start of this mission!
Do you know game DayZ?. . whole map is Czech real location.. Chernarus = Ústí nad Labem . . players can travel in to Czechia and know villages becouse they played game
The MW trilogy was the best COD ever had to offer. Best Multiplayer, Best characters, Best missions, Best story, Best writing, Best music and set piece direction. Will forever love these 3 games. I pretty much hate COD otherwise.
Soap died because his old wound has opened and didn't get treated immediately. Reopened wounds are worse than being wounded the first time. That's why despite being in the same place, experiencing the same explosion, Yuri only got minor injuries and Soap dead.
What I noticed is that this mission is much better and sadder to the one in the new MW III. Price actually freaks out due to soap's death but in the new game he doesn't freak out as much. Price really cares about soap in this mission as Soap has been with price for the longest of times.
I never noticed that amount of blood he lost just sitting there at that wall before the Resistance showed up and moved him. Its a massive amount of blood loss. I thought it was the bullet wound that did it and just that never the blood loss. This was when I was like 10.
@@jasonx1174 dont forget it looks like while Yuri was saved by the second round of scaffolding, Soap dropped straight down at least 2 stories, certainly breaking some bones, and opening even more wounds.
A cool perspective of this is that soap used ALL of his remaining energy to make sure price new the truth. Once it came out he did his piece and was ready to pass.. that’s T141 for you!
RIP Soap😢 COD4, MW2, and MW3🎖️🎖️🎖️and the Flashbacks oh my that was also crazy as well, man this game gets you, P.S. in MWR you can see Yuri and Makarov in Pripyat haha! and MW2R Yuri in the Airport as well
InfinityWard forgot what made the old trilogy such a loved part of Call of Duty. It wasn't the realism, it was the characters, the story, the gameplay of all the modes combined across multiplayer, campaign and the special ops. Survival was also an amazing addition to the original trilogy.
I think this could have been avoid if Price wasn't so dead set on the plan. They didn't hear from Kamarov AND Soap told Price it was like Makarov was looking directly at them. The signs were there and Price ignored them.
If price ignores orders that would be a court martial on his behalf. He is captain for a reason but yeah I agree that most of it could’ve been avoided.
@@danthonywilliams6444 Court martial lmfao? This entire game he's literally got a bounty on his head from most major governments and is branded as a terrorist. It was just awful writing
@@YaToGamiKuroI would hate to see either of those characters go especially Soap. I hope he doesn't die in Modern Warfare 3 which is coming out this year.
Me: (Finds a video of MW3 in 8k) "Ah sweet I get to see one of CoD's most memorable moments in 8k!" My laptop that is going to explode: *"Yuri, My friend, you never should have come here"* My phone: *"What the hell is he talking about? Get out!! now!!"*
This was still a terrible decision. Soap was the protagonist of the first two games, not Price. Clear misunderstanding of the story when the new developers took over for the real Infinity Ward.
The reboot dont have soul and emotion. Seriously, when Soap died in reboot, Price didn't have any emotions compared to the OG. He just said, "1 K.I.A." and thats it. Like dude Soap just died wtf.
What is "WOKE" about the reboot? I agree that Soap's death in the new MWIII is nowhere near as good as it is here but there is nothing "WOKE" about the new game.
I have spent 70 Euros when MW3 hit day one in 2011. With no reviews, no idea of what the game looked like (if good or bad). It was a blind purchase. Well, given the success of MW3, I realized I have spent the best 70 euros of my life.
Something that bugs me about games nowadays, that I appreciate about these games was the weight of these main characters deaths, from gaz and griggs, to roach and ghost, to finally Soap an Yuri. I feel new games aren’t brave enough to take the risks of killing main characters and have that emotion of losing these characters we’ve been with from the start of the story. In my opinion cod nowadays keeps these characters alive to profit more off of them in terms of micro transactions and stuff of that sort, but what do I know im jus a geek who loves video games
I don't understand... if Nikolai told Price at the beginning of MW3 that the only one man who hated Makarov more than they did was Yuri, then wouldn't it make sense that Makarov knew Yuri? Not to diminish the sacrifice but that always confused me
He should have actually listened to Soap when he asked Price to patch him up in the alley. He died out of blood loss, the wound itself wasn't fatal (center chest, he could breathe so not his lungs, probably just some arteries, I am not a doctor please don't attack me).
those games aged so well... when i look at world war 3 for example, this game does not look even that much better... we made not that much progress in the past 10 years...
One question I always have in this part: so Russia attacked the US because they believed Americans had attacked the airport as part of Makarov's plan. Wouldn't the authorities finding Yuri alive have undone all of that? Why didn't he just spill the beans on the whole thing?
@@runningoutofnames3CS I don't think he was wearing a vest. He was shot and injured. He did have a suit on but alot of people do wear suits in airports.
Tensions were already high between Russia and the US by that point. The Russian Ultranationalists had been stirring the pot, and the No Russian mission was the spark that led to all out war. Of course there were probably people investigating what happened, and diplomats were trying to go crazy trying to resolve things peacefully, but at that point, Russia herself was out for blood and it lashed out in warfare against who she thought was behind those attacks (America)
The original mw games had so much emotion and thought put into them. The recent slop cod has released is complete garbage in terms of campaign not including mw 2019
