Currently he is one of the best creative players in the entire league. Been our best player this season so consistent and has changed our play style drastically
@@peggi18 I think his general play is consistent but he needs to add goals. He has such ability to drift in off the right and curl shots toward the far post with his left foot but they're very rarely on target. If he could master that and be given the freedom to take those shots on, especially when teams are sitting deep against us, he should be getting 20+ a season across all comps easily.
One thing overlooked is his outrageous stamina... If you look at his running stats even when he played right wing he just didn't stop. The man has a Rolls Royce engine underneath a Volvo body 🤌
@@fts4608Doesnt really need that when hes playing in the midfield now does he. Strong on and off the ball, stamina to run the whole 90, can finish and pass in the box. He basically has the quality to play whatever role in the midfield - and hes only 24.
@@fts4608Sprinting if say he’s even above average. Bursts he’s poor. Still doesn’t matter considering he’s one of the most athletic 10’s itw. And he’s been a poor crosser on both feet since his 2nd season. Clearly he’s focusing on improving other attributes
What makes it even more incredible is how strong and how much stamina this guy is, tirelesly runs forever and will hold his own in physical altercations.
Shows how pathetic the EPL is. He would be bang average in La liga. I guess that is why La liga has won 7/11 last champions leagues and 7/11 last Europa leagues.
@@1237barca WTF is that comment lol, I know ur a laliga fan but still. Laliga is a top heavy league. You got few teams that carry the trophies. if you use your logic then we can say a number of players that moved from being good in laliga to shit in epl. I'm not english, ur just being delusional. few teams doesnt make a entire league the best. ''1237Barca'' Def not biased at all xD
@@Flewisjr 4 teams won those 14/22 titles. Meaning the other top leagues only 8/22 in the past 11 years. EPL is a joke cuz England can’t produce a decent footy brain. No English manager has EVER won the premier league. The English just don’t understand footy.
So glad he’s finally getting his flowers, always had an unbelievable talent seen it since the get go when we signed him under conte. Him Being utilised In this midfield role is perfect, creative genius.
Combine everything you said with the fact he's Spurs hardest worker (most distance covered), best at hold up play (save maybe Solanke) and arguably best presser in the team. You have strength, versatility, passing, stamina, scoring, just... everything.
I wish you had gone into his interaction with the inverted fullbacks system. So much of his space in the midfield has come from his understanding of the way those infield runs from porro and udogie manipulate the opponents’ midfielders.
Ange may get a lot of criticism, but he's willing to be creative and put in the work to make Brennan Johnson, a player with many limitations, consistently effective. Kulu gives thrust by making runs ahead of Johnson from that RAM position, meaning Johnson can come inside and doesn't have to be stuck to the touchline where his poor ball carrying is in focus.
This is why I didn't like Conte. He just complained about not having the right players and forgot that his job was to coach and improve the players he had. Ange absolutely does that and plays them to their strengths. Also Brennan is in great form right now and I think he has a high ceiling. Really looking forward to the player Ange makes him despite some weaker areas currently
Kulusevski is absolute chef.. or as I like to call him “Kuluchefski”👨🏾🍳. I vividly remember the loud roar spurs fans made for him when he came back from injury 3 seasons ago (during the 2-1 defeat to Liverpool) He got in, and within a minute he already had an assist and could have easy dragged spurs from 2-0 down to basically winning that game. An absolute baller ⛹️
I described him as a kind of "target man winger" a while back for us... When we were pinned back in games with Conte we could give him the ball and he could calm the game down, get us up the pitch and wait for support, but he never had the pace or confidence on his weak foot to really kick on as a RW in my opinion. He's always been a number 8 in my mind, because he's got the legs to get up and down, he's big and strong, his pace is good for that part of the pitch, he's technically excellent and he's way more unpredictable with the ball without a touchline limiting his movements. I'm dead smug he's working out as an CM these days 😂
Kulusevski has played there before. He even did an interview with football London a couple of seasons ago saying that's his preferred position. I think he was first put on the right wing because we had noone else at the time and he did a decent job there. Now we have Johnson to play the there, it's freed him up to move into that 10 position
Playing Kulu as a right winger is asking him to play with his back to the wall. He can't really get behind the touch line. But in the central position, he has a lot more opportunities to be an effective attacking ball carrier and passer.
He’s actually admitted that he’s working a lot harder/ more mature since the birth of his daughter. Whilst the change in position has encouraged his improvement I think his mentality has changed
It's been a pleasure to watch Deki develop into a top player at Tottenham. Has all the intangibles to be a captain in the future. World Class potential.
When Deki signed for spurs he said in an interview he modelled his game on KDB. Now he’s finally getting a chance to show his version of that and it’s the closest thing I’ve seen to a free role in a long time.
Also, I remember James making a video about Bissouma this time last year, we tanked after that. Please stop telling other managers about our special sauce.
He is like Dembele on steroids and let loose to attack! Massive problem to defend against. Also a bonus for Maddison is he hets more space. Now all he has to do is match kulu's intensity. Angeball is growing...
Great video, he always reminded me of KDB with the way he moves with the ball and plays passes. With his profile this new position is perfect. I’ve got 4% of him on StocksFC 😏
Love the video as it captures a lot about the player and the team. However, I dunno about the "outrageous pace" of Kulu as much as I appreciate him for the team rn lol
I love Deki as any other spurs fan and his play has been fabulous but everyone in the comments need to calm down a bit. He needs to keep this up for the whole season to be considered one of the best in the league. Remember how crazy he was during the first half season with Spurs. He has been missing for two seasons after.
Kulu best way of playing is not having to think about what to do. When he was out wide he would often get the ball then think of all the things he had to do an passed it back. He never felt he was a true winger. In the central role he has less thinking time. He is now scanning everything as he has more room. Not saying he is any near the level but Kulu has a role like Messi. Messi was on the left then middle then both. He would have the freedom to go where he thinks he will effect the game. Again IM NOT SAYING KULU PLAYS LIKE MESSI. I'm saying its the same type of role they have.
Why do people always write up Ange's 4-3-3 as if it's a 4-2-3-1? The first diagram you've posted shows just how absurd this is. I keep seeing it everywhere, even on Fbref, even though it's very obvious how he sets up, and there are literally diagrams from his training sessions showing it. My tinfoil hat theory is that it's something to do with the English media wanting to see James Maddison as being "a 10" or "a CAM" which doesn't exist in Ange's system.
Dude I love your videos and all and I appreciate what you're saying about Kulu but please don't jinx him last year when you did the video about Biss being a joke you jinxed him right away he didn't have a good game after that video 😂😂😂😂 I'm just joking btw xD
Mate… I don’t see what you mean by outrageous pace? He’s a great dribbler but rigid he will be figured out by December. Tottenham play one way so sooner or later that gets watched and sorted out by the opposition
But they're playing in different ways this season! You just see the attacking intensity, but Ange is very good at making subtle changes to his players' positioning which impact the oppositions structure. Against Man U it broke up their midfield structure, while on the weekend he opened up West Ham's defensive line with the Sarr sub and an adjustment in his midfield.
You can’t be most unique because unique means one of a kind. You can’t be the most one of a kind. You can be so rare as to be unique, because unique means ‘so rare there’s only one of you’.
Deki been out best player this season but the couple of games been to solanke has been far better than appears on tv as creates so much by his running off the ball
