Prince Mateen Al Bolkiah & Anisha Rosnah's Wedding in Brunei.
Yesterday at Istana Nurul Iman, the ceremonies of Majlis Istiadat Menghantar Tanda Diraja dan Pertunangan Diraja and Majlis Istiadat Menerima Tanda Diraja dan Pertunangan Diraja officially announced the engagement of His Royal Highness Prince ‘Abdul Mateen and Yang Mulia Dayang Anisha Rosnah binti Adam. The event was graced by His Royal Highness Prince ‘Abdul Malik in the Banquet Hall.
During the ceremony, a delegation led by His Royal Highness Prince ‘Abdul Malik presented gifts to the bride’s side, following Brunei's royal wedding customs. The ceremony began with Pehin Orang Kaya Johan Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Haji Awang Adanan informing Pengiran Indera Setia Diraja Sahibul Karib Pengiran Anak Haji Idris, who then signaled Prince ‘Abdul Malik to start the proceedings.
The delegation comprised various traditional items and figures like Tanda Diraja, a young girl in Malay bridal attire with accessories, accompanied by Pengarah Awang Murni, and Pertunangan Diraja, another traditionally dressed young girl, accompanied by Pemutus Tali Jintong. The royal groom’s side also brought ceremonial trays with engagement gifts, letters, and royal regalia.
The group, including cabinet ministers and dignitaries, proceeded to Baitur Rahmah where they presented the gifts. Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Mohd Jaafar, representing the bride's father, received the gifts. After the presentation and a 17-gun salute, the ceremony concluded with prayers and the delegation returned to inform Prince ‘Abdul Malik of the ceremony's completion.
