The two taxi drivers were very helpful in getting through the immigration process at the border.

This video felt more like a real vacation than your usual. It all seemed very nice places to me. The people and places cleaner and nicer than other African places. Very nice. It is always funny to hear about how different places do things with rules and things.

Having just watched The Grand Tour’s One for The Road special, its awesome to see Zimbabwe again!

Victoria Falls alone is worth a trip to the Zambesi. Noel does a good job filming the Falls, but nobody can do do it justice on video.

You could kind of hear your nervousness as you were in “no man’s” land but everyone was so kind. Absolutely spectacular location.

The Victoria Falls located just behind your hotel is the reason your hotel rooms costs $500 per night. Those Falls are magnificent!

There is a pool in the middle of Victoria Falls (Just on the Zambian side of the border) called The Devil's Pool where you can swim right up to the top edge of the falls and sit with a small submerged rock wall the only thing separating you from the drop.

He is so much more then a taxi driver. He helped you with all exit and entry formalitets too!

Victoria Falls is absolutely BREATHTAKING! It will be added to me bucket list for sure!! And, South African people seem so kind and hospitable.

When I stayed at Victoria Falls Hotel in the 1990s, I sat on the verandah at a table next to Bobby Moore, England's 1966 World Cup-winning captain.

Stayed in the Victoria Falls Hotel in 1975…lovely memories…went there again in 2022…sad to see the deterioration of the country…but still a beautiful hotel with amazing childhood memories….nearly drowned in the pool in ‘75, 😂

New channel member here! Your channel has been my ticket around the world for the last few years while I was working on my PhD and was too overwhelmed to travel. I grew up with my Dad working for an airline and I did lots of world traveling, but the last few years I've gone barely anywhere. Those stress - relieving videos are now idea - generating videos, and I can't wait to see more of this beautiful world again now that I have the job and the degree :)

Very glad you got to take a ride in the Trike (microlight), and you could not ask for a cooler place to do it! Personally I fly all sorts of things, from hang gliders to helicopters to fixed wing, but the weight shift trike is one of my favorites, and you might be surprised, IMO one of the safest aircraft you can fly in. I have seen Victoria Falls only online, but your experience you shared is the BEST! That Embraer is a VERY clean aircraft, and those cab drivers were top notch and super helpful.

I walked the bridge last November and visited the same hotel, there were lots of zebras roaming freely on the side of the falls. My flight was Addis Ababa - Victoria Falls on an Ethiopian Boeing 777-200/LR.

$500 is wild 😂 You could have booked a flight to Johannesburg, slept the night in one of the airport hotels, and then flown back, and you'd still have some money left 🤣

My parents went to the Vic Falls hotel for their honeymoon in 1952 or 1953. They took a train from Cape Town. I hope to visit sometime in the future

Mosi-oa-Tunya! It’s so beautiful! This time of year I believe they still have the Angel’s Pool open - you get to get in and feel the falls flowing past you (hold on to the rope and don’t step anywhere you’re not told to, haha!). Devil’s Pool is the more well known one where you swim to the edge. I also flew over the falls during my stay in Livingstone…but that was to jump out and feel like the tiniest bird over the massive falls. The skydiving place is in Zimbabwe, and I signed on the wall of the building along with everyone else who’s gone skydiving. I’m glad to see you enjoying the heart of Africa! (I recommend Jollyboys hostel if you go back and if they made it to post-covid. I know that’s not the same as a hotel room, but it’s a great place for a cold Amarula or two, a dip in the pool, and to chat with locals and travelers.

I have photos from my maternal grandparents family stay at Victoria Falls Hotel in 1938. Myself and my sister's ended up with Southern Rhodesia coins they brought home from their trip. The 1/2 pennv coin is my favorite even above the silver coins.

I still remember as a kid seeing Air Zimbabwe’s 707s at Gatwick in the 1980s. it’s sad to see that the airline has never been able to progress, and has in fact regressed.

What a difference that new airport at Victoria Falls makes. I was there in 2007 and the airport was a shack. The country was in a very different place at that time.

Off to Zambia soon to spend the whole of October there . Got a pro flight from Lusaka to Ndola I found them very good last year . Zambia a great place with great people. Funny because apparently I look like a former president Guy Scott they rushed out of the airport to give me the red carpet treatment 😂

I reckon you should do a few of the Scottish Isle flights to the likes of Barra, Shetland and Fair Island. And maybe some of the dog friendly flights in the US with your beautiful Lurcher. What a great video. Took me back to my trip to Zim in 98. Vic falls is breathtaking and of course had afternoon tea at the hotel, with all the wildlife. Done overnight sleeper trains there too.

The Vic Falls hotel was initially built to house workers who were bulking the Vic Falls bridge. It then developed into a hotel afterwards.

The tea time is Devine in the afternoon at this hotel, and the property is beautiful ENJOY
