Cardiac health has always been close to our hearts as a club.
In 2018 we lost our technical director, Rob Rowan at the age of 28 to a fatal cardiomyopathy episode. Cardiovascular disease accounts for more than 160,000 deaths each year, that's one death every three minutes. Cardiac health affects us all and this has been the biggest driver behind our Heart of West London campaign.
Our first team manager, Thomas Frank leads the Bees through every match. Managing a Premier League club is by no means easy. The stress and pressure can be enormous, and this is impacted by last-minute goals, VAR decisions and penalties. So what does this do to Thomas's body?
At our match against West Ham last season, we hooked up Thomas to a heart rate monitor to find out how his heart reacts to the pressure of a Premier League match.
