Thanks Eleanor. 10 minutes after reading this I sat down and watched the whole film. I highly recommend others watch this if you haven't. There's something about Christopher Nolan films that you can really get your teeth into.
Underrated!! In respect to what?? In respect to box-office? NO. In respect to IMDB? NO. In respect to Rotten Tomatoes? NO. In respect to any other critics rating? HELL NO. Christopher Nolan is a director who can't make underrated films. NOTE THAT.
No one wins and no one lose... A perfect screenplay with accurate story line.. It has the perfection and nothing beats it. A must watch movie from Nolan.
*The fact that Nolan himself is the magician who created this magic trick in the form of a movie is crazy.* The Pledge, the Turn, us looking for the secret which we won't find, and the Prestige.
The Dark Knight Trilogy is a magic trick. Nolan introduces us Batman Begins which is the pledge. Just your good old superhero film. The Dark Knight is the turn. Nolan takes that good old superhero film and does something extraordinary with it. But doing something exceptional isn’t enough. It needs to be brought to a close. The Dark Knight Rises is the prestige.
its almost like directors construct an outline of the movie before filming. that couldnt be it. im pretty sure a guy with a camera just films people living their daily lives. its not that serious. y'all.
If you haven't seen this movie then what are you waiting for. You'll not regret it. This is just AMAZING. At first I was kind of bored but then I could not believe the twists that it took. It's worth the two hours.
@@jul1usjwh377 yes i know that movie was directed by Nolan...but what I'm trying to say is that even he can't make another movie like this....Masterpiece...❤
@@hushRD That's how directors work bruhhh If it is based on book whatsoever The Director is gonna give more Credit because he/she the one who Run the Movie from Start to Finnish

Hugh Jackman and Christian bale, two legit A class actors who can truly act. Now add a top tier story and an even better storytelling to it. Voila we have the prestige courtesy Nolan bros. THIS MOVIE WILL ALWAYS HAVE SPECIAL PLACE IB MY HEART.
Love this movie. Super underrated. We also need to talk about how the trailer is so much better than most modern trailers. It leaves the viewer curious and interested without showing all the good parts. Most modern trailers show way too much and leave no room for surprise
Top 3 of all time. And I'm in no way film buff. Simply excellent storytelling and emotion. So glad I stumbled across it, everyone should watch it at least once, but several times watching it and you appreciate even more. The word masterpiece gets thrown around a lot, but this is definitely one of them. And I say that as someone who finds it hard to tolerate Christian Bale.
@@BIEBERownMe this movie was Epic, blew me back lol. Christian was finominal but I never knew Hugh can act like that. Master piece. So good you can enjoy it sober or 🤯😎. Def recommend 👌
I love it when Walt Disney and Warner Brothers Collab, it feels so awesome seeing these film giants make something great together after always fighting. :)
Just watched this movie yesterday was randomly scrolling thorugh prime and i end up watching this. I will say this is one of the greatest movie of all time i have watched what a story even till the end it was suspense keep you at your driving seat full of mysteries and excellent performance by the actors. Must watch it
Christian Bale is undeniably a remarkable talent. His dedication to immersing himself in his roles is evident in every movie he stars in, and it's particularly notable in "The Prestige." Additionally, Michael Caine's presence in any film adds a special energy; he consistently brings depth and charm to his roles, making him a joy to watch on screen.

Honestly this film is main focus is how bitter resentment and jelously tears people apart and ends up destorying each other and those around them get hurt as well.
I never saw the ending and still one of my favorite ever. I had to leave right before it ended and never sat down to watch it again.. didn't want to mess it up by knowing the end, but everyone's saying it's epic so now I gotta go watch it 😅..
Dude, he doesnt write the whole scripts, he just co authors them with christopher nolan, and he is not event the co author in nolans best one inception
@@aryanrajsingh3348 Chris Nolan isn't that great of a writer. Just take a look at Tenet. Jonathan wasn't involved with the writing and screenplay department of Tenet. And it was as bad as Transformers. Tenet is one of those films where the characters literally have no character arcs and The exposition was hilariously cringeworthy. Sound editing was disgustingly terrible and camera work was "jarring" at multiple instances leading to a poor execution. And Inception too, suffered from some character & exposition issues. Nolan's best films are still his original ones, i.e Memento and Prestige. His original films might not be action-packed, but were filled with heart. They had characters which were going through tragic experiences and you could relate to them. His recent films are straight forward summer blockbuster with masturbatory and contrived structures that feign intelligence with even a more simple and pretentious plot--that have been spray painted with superficial veneer. And further, they pretend to be like _Stanley Kubrick_ with clunky exposition. And most importantly, they lack in _subtlety, cinematic depth & character study._ Again, take a look at Tenet, it's completely _style over substance._ On the other hand, great depths and character studies were found in Memento and Prestige
@@karangupta1825 i know about this, i know that nolan doesn't pays attention towards developing tha characters, some critics say that too, but i guess that's not a concern, considering the brilliant storylines. Momento is amazingly good, so is prestige, but you definitely can't compare them to inception, where it's plot itself is a greater character. Most of the times when we watch movies we want to attatch ourselves to the characters, and we start to feel them as the movie progresses, but thinking of nolans movies having the amounts of complexities and the appealingly compelling emotions, we get more attatched to the events and plot instead. I am not saying that Jonathan nolan doesn't deserve credit, but also you can't deny the fact that nolans best one, which was his dream project, where he took about 6 years just to get the storyline, inception is the B.O.A.T . The characters gave all that the plot needed, especially dicaprio who nailed each and every bit.
On your point about how it couldn’t be enthralling, if you’ve seen any Nolan movie, you knows that there is some downtime that can seem a bit padded, but this movie keeps you hooked the whole time.
Making Something Disappear isn't enough but you have to bring it Back!!! Great lines said by a great Legend who worked with two great Legends and one Legendary Director. Michael Caine, Hugh Jackman & Christian Bale is the Godfather of Hollywood. The Amount of emotions I felt in this movie makes me a patient of motion sickness. The Expressions and eye move were so perfect, Each time they showed up explain the entire scenario & then we have Christopher Nolan. He Indeed love to play with people minds. Who said movie will not teach you anything, for me It teaches me everything.
This is one of the greatest films in the history of modern cinema. Up there with Raiders of the Lost Ark, Gladiator, and Master and Commander: Far Side of the World
This is a fantastic masterpiece from Nolan and about Nicolas Tesla 👌👌👌👌 Don't even watch trailer💥💥💥 Go watch this classic now and you won't regret❤️❤️❤️
Wolverine vs Batman. Along with Alfred and Black Widow. Underrated Christopher Nolan piece of work. He does know how to use Christian Bale and Michael Caine.
