Hey there, Eric, I cover this song on my channel, And i would love to know what you think of it, If you could spare sometime to go and have a listen and pass on some comments, That Would Be Great, Many Thanks : 0 )
Me and my old roommate use to blast oasis and sing this song over and over again in the early drug induced mornings. She recently took her life. This performance seriously brings me to the edge of tears every time. Beautiful.
That’s the thing… singing instructors will tell you to stay relaxed because tension can harm vocal cords or otherwise cause strain where it’s not needed. Not everyone follows that, but many do. Myself, I kinda look constipated and I have to fight that every time I sing lol. I’d rather have almost any face than that lol. Work in progress I guess
+hellish88 If you listen to both songs, you'll notice a very very similar sound (chord progression) and people often say that they sound almost the same :)
starting at 2:51 they play The Beatles "Dear Prudence" the transition is seamless both going in and going out. Not to mention that the lyrics kinda compliment each other.
the acoustic sets really let Taylor's voice shine. I love the hard rock but its nice when an artist slows it down and just lets the simplicity of doing an acoustic song take you to a place that a plugged in version can't always achieve
Great Oasis/Beatles cover by Taylor and the guys. No Gallagher brothers were injured in the making of this video though they may eventually kill each other.
absolutely adore this cover, she makes the song her own and it really gives her stunning vocals a chance to shine. i love how effortless she makes it look when she belts out those notes. one i will be coming back to for years no doubt
kylehilts06 Why can't I be? Just cause I think the cover is awesome doesn't mean I don't think oasis aren't the greatest band ever! Keep your mouth shut you idiot
I wasn't expecting this to be a mash-up of Champagne Supernova and The Beatles 'Dear Prudence' but I loved it!! This 100% convinced me that Taylor has one of the best voices of this generation!
One of the few Oasis' cover that I can come back to. They really did it justice, not trying to emulate Liam's singing like so many did. Such a great song by such a legendary band !
JohnnyTheUnicorn Because youre an absolut genius singer when you have a higher vocal range... Thats bullshit, because you cant really do something about your natural vocal range so its about what you can do with the vocal range you have. For Example BB King wasnt even able to play simple chords on his guitar but hes still one of the best blues guitarists.
Can people stop comparing this to the original. It's a cover for a reason. She has put her own take on it. If you like it good if not good. Liam and noel wouldn't give a fuck about this. They would be sick of all you lot moaning about how it isn't as good as the original that's because it's not meant to sound like it. It's Taylors interpretation
How many special people change? How many lives are living strange? Where were you while we were getting high? Slowly walking down the hall Faster than a cannonball Where were you while we were getting high? Someday you will find me Caught beneath the landslide In a champagne supernova in the sky Someday you will find me Caught beneath the landslide In a champagne supernova A champagne supernova in the sky Wake up the dawn and ask her why A dreamer dreams she never dies Wipe that tear away now from your eye Slowly walking down the hall Faster than a cannonball Where were you while we were getting high? Someday you will find me Caught beneath the landslide In a champagne supernova in the sky Someday you will find me Caught beneath the landslide In a champagne supernova A champagne supernova 'Cause people believe That they're gonna get away for the summer But you and I, we live and die The world's still spinning 'round, we don't know why Why, why, why, why? How many special people change? How many lives are living strange? Where were you while we were getting high? Slowly walking down the hall Faster than a cannonball Where were you while we were getting high? Someday you will find me Caught beneath the landslide In a champagne supernova in the sky Someday you will find me Caught beneath the landslide In a champagne supernova A champagne supernova 'Cause people believe That they're gonna get away for the summer But you and I, we live and die The world's still spinning 'round, we don't know why Why, why, why, why? How many special people change? How many lives are living strange? Where were you while we were getting high? We were getting high We were getting high We were getting high We were getting high We were getting high We were getting high We were getting high We were getting high We were getting high We were getting high
One of my very favorite songs and she did an awesome cover of this song and Wonderwall! Her voice definitely fits this sound of music and sounds great!
Wow she is TALENTED! This is a great example of someone who was so desperate to shed her younger "goodgirl" image that her shock factor and antics out shown her actual talent! Rock on Taylor
I was literally killed by them when they mixed it with Dear Prudence. This is exactly what musical orgasm is to me. Holy cr...p it was so good, I liked it really much
it’s one am and i’m lying in bed shaking so much because of all the goosebumps this cover has given me.... they did such a great job that i don’t even have words i just.... it’s magic
Today is May 6, 2018 3:54 I'm going to check this comment everytime I'm going to listen to this song, I just love Taylor, from Philippines and don't know her at all, since her music is not popular here, but I just fall in love with her voice now, I'm gonna follow her songs from now on definitely 😍😍😍😍 Hello1
What an amazing band you guys are!! I never thought it possible with the direction music has taken in the 2000's, that we would get brilliance of this caliber! Kudos to Taylor & Co.!
love this version! the dear prudence makes it even better😁 i can still hear Marshall Tucker's song Can'tYou See in the intro & throughout various parts. All good. Awesome job Tay & band!
Tim tim what a dumb bitch you are! I love death metal, thrash metal, black metal and alt rock!! You are just defending your pussy one hit wonder Kurt Cobain, some of their songs were good but mostly nirvana was crap
do you play in a band? have you ever preformed live in a studio? probably not. then you would understand why some musicians chose to wear sunglasses in a studio setting such as this.
She has said in interviews that the reason she wear sunglasses a lot of times is bc the lack of sleep she has, ben and mark do the same a lot of times, she has said she always sleep like 2 or 3 hours per day and that prefers to use sunglasses to keep her eyes relaxed or closed while singing or barely open when talking. Also (not the same case in this video) it's very hard to keep your eyes wide open when you have all the studio/camera or set lights poiting at you or the papparazzis taking photos.
J.Palma No offence, but I've watched a lot of Live Lounge and I can't immediately think of any other artist that has felt the need to wear sunglasses. If she has some kind of eye condition, then I have sympathy, otherwise I suspect she's just trying to go with the "I'm too cool for this shizz" look.
