I never understand , why “The Pretty Things“ ALWAYS stayed “underground“, & can ONLY be find on a few PSYCHEDELIC ROCK COMPILATIONS ... (& ,I.m.h.O. , they were NEVER “just“ One of many PSYCHEDELIC ROCK BANDS, for that, the styles they presented ,were not limited to the term “PSYCHEDELIC“....

Why is POUND'S, SHILLING'S & PENCE on this compilation ? TRACK # 4. Oh, maybe someone didn't realise LSD is slang for the currency of the UK !..... I hate to spoil the party BUT LSD isn't about 'substance' but 'cash'. LOLFantastic London R&B band.... Saw them 'live' a few time's pre-psychedelia.

LSD wasn't unheard of in 1965. The 13th Floor Elevators being a prime example of this. Have you ever thought the cash cover-up was a promotional strategy? It seems to have worked. The Beatles went on record in saying their first LSD trips happened in '65. Not to mention the Pretty Things have another great trip song "Tripping" which references Mr. L, Mr. S, and Mr. D. The Mr. D being turned into a reference of Donovan's song "The Trip" quoting his methedrine line, and stating that people believe it's the sunshine that lights him up.
