12:51 - Ah, yes. Virginia Beach. Been there before. Me and my family went there every year. However, me and my family actually went to Dolphin Run. It happened ever since 2011 and it is a great place to stay for a week every year in July.
@@ColoradoOwl It's not so much that, it's the editing......it's not live to tape anymore....and also...more commercial time.......Barker in his day had some 42 minutes to work with.... now it's like 37. Big difference.
Yeah, I can still remember that back then, when there was just a few people as public as today but now the players don’t have to bid at the stage !!! Hopefully, we won’t have to go back to those days, and everything would be as great as ever!!!
Drew ruined this gameshow, straight up. He has NO sense of humor or interaction with the players. He laughs at himself when he didn't even say anything funny and NObody else is laughing either. Plus he's hard to look at.
@@fernandoifill-ruiz3475 i feel yu bro cuz that audience comin from there speaker sounds soo fake jus like monday night raw has it wit the stupid thunderdome the price is boring with out the live audience cuz i want it to go back to normal where ppl got to hug drew nd all that like it made it soo much better nd friendly lets pray nd hope it will go back to normal🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 thats all we can do is pray dude
It'll go back to its old format when this is all done and over with. But in a few years it'll be interesting to look back at these episodes as that "weird season".
@@endeavourist5287 facts cuz wen this show goes back to normal were all gonna go on youtube nd say wow these covid episodes were in some weird times wen we had to stay 6 feet apart
@@nicekid7409 I mean the people out there are all adults so if they get vaccinated then they can bring the audience again because I'm still watching the price is right from the past still
You can no longer feel the energy, due to no audience. I miss seeing how the contestants look at the audience for coaching. Hopefully it will return to normal soon. I still love the show tho
I agree. Best thing you can do towards that front is encourage everyone you know to get vaccinated, and also to write and call any of your representatives who are encouraging people to not wear masks, or saying the vaccine is anti-freedom or other nonsense, and tell them to stop causing unnecessary suffering and death just because they're too cowardly to fulfill the duties of their position.
@@PlatinumEagleStudios if vaccines are fake then a hundred million people might've been dead to these deadly diseases in the past few years. Won't you even use your head?
Indeed-- they watch every show (they did even long ago, watching how much Thom McKee won on Tic Tac Dough in 1980, so they could figure out exactly what he owed from his $312,700 in cash and prizes).
I never even thought about the effect of the pandemic on game shows, or on the taping of other shows, until this episode of The Price is Right. WOW. The lack of audience feedback changes the character of the show completely. And it's really weird seeing people standing so far apart. Drew could barely read their name tags!
Here it comes from the bob barker studios in CVS in Hollywood it’s thefabulous 60 minute the price is right You are the first four contestants on the price is right and now here’s your host Drew Carey yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah woo hoo
And what about the production staff? In a studio with a packed audience they’re at much higher risk. Remember that vaccines didn’t become available to the masses until the last couple of months of the season. BTW, small audiences (about 50 people I think) are allowed back for this season. I believe they all have to be fully vaccinated though.
Lord willing, as things improve I hope they will gradually reintroduce audiences to the show. And when they do, I hope they keep the podiums for Bidder's Row.
That moment more than anything is where the lack of the audience is hurting. That's the sort of moment the host roasts you mercilessly in front of everyone else
Yeah, he looks like a different person from his previous shows. Plus with the pandemic having shut down a lot of salon/barbers, it would be hard to get a professional makeover right now.
One good thing came from this pandemic format-- the contestants, upon winning an IUFB, now no longer have to actually go up stairs (they can just come out from behind their podiums to go to the main part of the stage).
Those one-bid podiums from this season would later be recycled as occasional Showcase podiums in later years (decorated based on the theme - like for Halloween specials, Summer Beach Party, etc.)
It's OBVIOUS, that the people "behind the curtain" are the only contestants in the whole building. You would think that it would take them at least five seconds to appear in the stage, but no! No less than a second and they appear from where?! I can also tell that the "audience" is some pre-recorded bs. Don't be fooled in their "excitement" while being called upon stage.
There were up to 27 people back there at a time and they didn’t know when they’d be called. Being one of the first 4 is better than being the 9th in a show
Funny how none of the 6 contestants won the price, when they went on stage...Plus in the showcase, they gave away the cheaper prices $25,382🙄 LOVE this program since 1990💖 It's not nice how black people hardly get picked for the game. Watching from Trinidad🇹🇹
It took me a while to figure out why there was no Audience and why they were all on stage, And no noise from the audience. It's called a pandemic. That really did change a lot of things.
It says right there in the credits at the end of the show that the contestant was awarded all of the prizes in the Danger Price game. The Price is Right has never been stingy or reluctant to give the contest the prize when the show goofs.
