Especially since fellow CBS Goodson show Card Sharks with Bob Eubanks was using it from Day One itself and Ray Combs’ Feud which replaced Pyramid the following Monday also used chyrons from day one too. Ironically they’re using a variation of the chyroned Red and White Goodson logo from Eubanks’ Card Sharks and super early Combs’ Feud episodes here.

you can tell that the graphics were sluggish compared to them using the title cards. They also probably wanted to carry over the font used on the title cards over to chryon but couldn't until they redid them. By this point though I think Price is Right was the last game show to use title cards as both The Joker's Wild and Tic Tac Dough which used title cards through their entire runs had been cancelled and Wheel of Fortune, which was still using title cards for their sponsors but used chryon for everything else, had moved to chryon for the sponsors in 1987.

Yes Chuck Henry’s Now You See It replaced the Bob Eubanks version of Card Sharks on April 3, 1989 but only ran until July 14, 1989 when daytime Wheel moved to CBS and took NYSI’s timeslot and daytime Wheel stayed there until CBS cancelled it and NBC regained it in January of 1991 and stayed at that network til it was gone for good in the Fall of 1991. The 10:30/9:30 slot was a challenging slot since NBC’s Classic Concentration dominated CBS’s shows in that slot for its entire run.

I liked the game. I found it to be a challenge.

Kind of glad that show went off the air as I've always found Pyramid to be Massively overrated. It's basically Password but instead of being limited to one word you're put on a time limit.

@@tvtimetravel And that's fine, i respect your opinion too. Me personally I think the only reason why Pyramid got as big as it did was because it was of the money it was giving away, as it was one of the first game shows since the quiz show scandals to give away a 5-figure cash payday, kind of like how nobody would have cared about Who wants to be a millionaire if it wasn't giving away a Million dollars. But in my eyes it's not just Pyramid that I think is garbage, I think all of Bob Stewart's game shows that he made as an independent producer were crap and that they were all either word games with celebrity civilian teams like Password or games which had contestants compete for a week, he never had any original ideas for games and I think that's why outside of Pyramid they all went off the air very quickly. I could also go on and on about why the production of Bob Stewart game shows was garbage, but i've written enough as it is.

I dig Penny Ante and its cool sound when Bob hits the price button.
