My uncle gave me a shower radio once and I asked what it was and he said “it’s a shower radio so you can do the disco while your showering” lmao Your comment reminded me of that story and I had to mention it.

That showcase was hilarious! I always like when you get to see Johnny- good people for sure. I know this is early days in TPIR, but every time I've seen the 'Department Store' showcase Bob always calls for all the prizes to be shown together. It cracks me up that the crew is always seemingly off guard when they hear him say that. 1976. I wouldn't debut for another 3 years! (almost 4, I'm a December babe)

I had just turned 11 in November. I remember the model, Anitra. I always thought she & Janice were twins. I didn’t know Anitra was the original elevator girl. I always thought it was just Dian. I would watch this show on sick days, snow days & summer vacation. Good memories.

10:00 hmmm...the "This is your Strife!" showcase Chunky reference? That's a big bar!; 10:54 - he was leaning against the game!; 32:12 awkward prize placement and price reveal.....and a 37:52 chuckle from Johnny! About Most Expensive, this may have been the last time they would use the stands to reveal the prices. The reveal of the outdoor furniture price was so far back and under the umbrella shade that the tag was hard to see (it was also brown which didn't help). After this, they started holding the tags up to turn by their heads in the January 1976 episodes.
