Commitment means everyone can't come with you. Commitment is one trait every successful artist has when they decide to get serious about their music career. If you have a big heart or a people pleaser, like me, you may want everyone to come with you as you transform your music career. But everyone can't come! Familiar people in our lives are not always willing transform themselves to fit into the music business with us.
When we choose to become successful artists people in our immediate life can be resistance to the changes in us - our mindset, our actions, our confidence in ourself.
You must remember that it is not your fault or theirs but rather the natural course of action of breaking through to the new version of yourself.
Now if friends and family accept the change, great, but you do not have to feel obligated to hold on to old things because they are familiar. Instead of trying to make people fit in with you, become that successful artist and then bring them to visit you. -Matty
