I have lived in China for over 12 year, and it is nice to watch blogs of people actually enjoying China and not go on what western media makes it look. My brother came to visit a couple of years ago and he could not believe how modern and clean it was. I have never felt as safe anywhere else in the world as I have felt here. Enjoy the rest of your trip.

I was pleasantly surprised, maybe even shocked, how China really was when I went there 6 years ago. 😂 Having heard my friend's experience being mugged in the back streets of Shen Zhen 20 years ago, I was scared so I hugged my bag with my dear life. But soon I knew I didn't have to worry much.

Correction: Shanghai Tower is the second tallest in the world as well as in Asia because Burj Khalifa is also in Asia. Technically, Merdeka 118 in Malaysia is taller including its 158 meters of spire but Shanghai Tower has more floors above.

Out of control. Ridiculous. And totally weird. Are people not paid a living wage? In the best country in the world? No dignity left? Actually, I like to tip, and I am aware where people really need it. I always leave cash when I sign checks or pay by CC. One of the many reasons I avoid the US because I don't want to pay 20 % on everything. So many fascinating countries on this planet.

@@tka1528 a lot of the ingredients for Mexican food is not readily available in China. the restaurant paid more for the different cheeses, chilis, beans, rice, etc., and then passed it on to the customer. a good, experienced chef does not need to go abroad because they're in demand in their home country. that's why some commenters said the Chinese food in China is totally different than at home country. lol there are good Chinese restaurant serving authentic Chinese food in Chinatown, NYC comparable to Hong Kong.

@willengel2458
@willengel2458 Год назад
Sly, you didn't think a lot, and you used that a lot as titles. LOL 1. travelers always pay more for non-local food because some ingredients are imported. we, me & GF, seasoned traveler always eat where locals eat. Central, Eastern Europe, Latin America, there's always small restaurant in their market, that's where we buy fruits and lunch. in Peru and Ecuador, big supermarkets have fresh baked bread few times per day. they have big varieties of bread and they sell it by weight. they also sell ready cooked food by weight. i missed their green rice. LOL 2. we, me & GF look for a furnished apartment when time to do laundry in Europe. furnished apartment is common in Europe, few in Latin America, less common in Asia. 3. in South America, restaurant have fixed price lunch or dinner, it consists of juice, soup, main dish of meat/fish, dessert. the food is warm, not hot. LOL you simply say carne(meat) pisco (fish). a. in Syria there are restaurants served only roast chicken. you walk in, find a seat, they'll bring you half of chicken. you pick a seat, eat, pay, and walk out. b. in Petra, Jordan i ordered a Shawarma at the same place second time. i told him i paid less than that the day before. he said he'll give me a discount. LOL that happened in Egypt and West Asia quite a bit. 4. we buy open-jaw tickets, that is you arrived in point A and departs from elsewhere. if we fly-in to Istanbul Turkey, we can travel on land by bus/train throughout Europe. we only need to keep an eye for departure city and date. it's more flexible and it gives you the choice to stay longer or shorter. 5. we always use local transportation. we asked reception to arrange taxi when needed and paid agreed on amount. never a hassle.

As a Chinese, it is difficult to answer this question. Because every province in China has its own unique beauty. Guilin’s scenery is the best in the world. The ancients said that Hangzhou is a paradise, and the gourmet paradise is in Guangzhou. Don’t miss the morning tea here. Yunnan and Guizhou have the most ethnic minorities, and they have retained their unique living habits and culture. Beijing, Shanghai, and Shenzhen are the most modern, and Xi'an has the most historical sense. For those who want to see mountains, we also have Mount Huangshan, Mount Tai, Mount Hua, Mount Sanqing, and Mount Lu. Of course, how can we miss the beautiful Xinjiang, Tibet, Shaanxi, Guangxi and so on. In short, welcome international friends to China. I can say for sure that China is not free from bad people and not 100% safe, but it is really safe compared to most of the world.

When you were in Lujiazui, it's a pity you didn't visit the museum of Art Pudong, which was designed by Ateliers Jean Nouvel. The museum is a piece of art in itself. Same letters but English pronunciation rules are completely different from Chinese pin yin. There is very little relationship in pronunciation between the languages so there is no reason for him to be able to pronounce is correctly.

@@atlnla4112 This is not about pin yin. There's nothing tricky here. Y is not W, phonetically anywhere.

No. It's cloud. This time of the year Shanghai is always cloudy. Polution was high in winter a couple of years go. It gets improved a lot recently.

The air looks thick with pollution unfortunately. City looks very similar to cities in the US but it has waay more people packed in there.

This is your stupid stereotype. It is obvious from the video that it is a cloudy day with thick clouds all over the sky, but you must say it is pollution, and I feel sorry for you.

At the beginning of the video, he told you it was a cloudy day. Are you deaf?

If the air pollution is serious, you won't see buildings dozens of kilometers away. I'm worried about your intelligence and common sense.
